Playing wr for Team USA, Rashad Kinlaw sustained an ankle injury in a game against American Samoa. Taken to the hospital for an x-ray. Playing right tackle in this game, Hunter Bivin had an outstanding game in both run and pass blocking.

It was very Jimmy-esque... right on the sidelines so I wasn't able to get a good view of the mechanism of injury. Hopefully something will come out soon or Bivin will say something about it. Prayers can never hurt.

Nope. All anyone is saying is that it's a right ankle injury and that he wasn't going to/didn't play in the rest of the Tournament.

Probably better a fracture than a bad sprain.

I had a some bad sprains over the years, one resulting in nerve damage and another resulting in torn cartilage. My one ankle was never the same.

That's going to leave an ugly scar. Usually it takes some time to get your full mobility back. It's nagging for some time too. Hope he recover really well.

Not only a fractured fibula(same bone as last year's break) but doctors inserted a plate and screws to stabilze his partially displaced ankle, which suffered significant ligament damage. Rehabilitation won's begin until late August, early September.

Per ISD's article today, Rashad's high school head coach expects him back on the field mid to late September. Not sure where you are getting your info, but this seems like a reliable source.
