Psychologically, it may leave a little to be desired by the given recruit based specifically on his history and comments made by his father.

That would be the reason, if you believe Penn State is out.

There is a reason ND may be the right choice, as the recruit sees it. It is the only school of the leaders that both will let Alex settle to his "natural" position and give him a voice in what position he plays.

Finally, I am tired of all the conversation that centers on remembering what "position" a player is being recruited for. A) Forget about Dogs, cats, and Mikes. Forget about ILB's versus OLB's. Forget about the subtle differences between the play of 4-3 versus 3-4 Defenses. One gap, two gap and all of the techniques can be taught. Basic body position and all of that can be taught. Size and speed cannot. Skil, big skill, and brolic, what more do you need?

Lax is right. Per rivals its down to Florida and Notre Dame. His dad is also playing a major role in his recruitment.

It was on there. Might be gone now. Some guy with a "friend" who had a "source"... prompted Alex to tweet something like "lol apparently I committed to UF"

And he just tweeted a picture of ND. So... I'll call it a rumor. He said quite frankly he was going to take a week+ digest things before making any kind of decision.

Mike checked on it earlier today, talked to someone close to the situation (I assume his dad) and he did not commit obviously.

To be fair, I've never really met a thoughtful kid who did.... at the end of the day you disappoint a lot more people than you make happy... just got to do what's best for you and what fits your priorities and not look back.

I can't imagine how much worse it is if reporters embellish/twist quotes to fit an agenda. Remember how that South Carolina newspaper made Chris Brown's dad look last year? Crazy.

The Gators only have 4 or 5 spots left so a lot fans that follow recruiting would rather we miss on Alex so his spot can go to somebody else. The staff however likes this kid a lot and have committed recruits calling him.
