Says that Notre Dame is keeping in touch more than any other program currently. Plans to make a list of favorites (possibly going to a top two) during the the summer and schedule officials. Still keeping his options open.

Current favorites include Notre Dame, Arizona State, Arkansas, Boise State, Nebraska, USC and Washington.

This isn't a shot at you bery, just kind of curious... Why does everyone think that or joke about sites lowering our recruits rankings?

I haven't been following recruiting that closely for too long, but i can think of a number of players in just the past few years who sky rocketed up the rankings after committing to ND

It's just the impression that the services rate recruits/commits of NDs lower than other recruits. We just poke fun of it. Not necessarily true.

per BGI sounds like ASU and ND are fighting for number one spot.

Unless Ogundeko could bulk up and play DE. He is 6'4" 240 already.

One of the Rivals guys tweeted, after the new rankings came out, that 90% of people tweeting him were complaining that a recruit committed somewhere dropped due to where he was committed. Made me think of all the **** we give around here about our recruits.

I would think heads up against ASU we should be just fine! How long till Feb again?

I think that ESPN is the only rating service who would do that. They have a lot of finacial ties to the SEC. Everyone else sees ND as a big chunk of subscribers.

Need some ILBs.

I felt the same way until I read this...I got him as the other DE and weighing around 280 by end of sr year. I don't think we would pass on Muhammad. Wow this 13' front 7 could be north Carolina like a few years ago...

Quote:
Locking down the Big Apple has been a priority of Doug Marrone, and because of it Syracuse may land a dynamic 1-2 punch. Highly sought-after DE Ebenezer Ogundeko from New York City confirms to The Fizz he and fellow Brooklyn-ite Augustus Edwards want to play together in college. “That’s definitely the plan,” admitted the huge 6’4″, 265 lb. edge rusher. Edwards is a running back from Tottenville HS, and he has played against Ogundeko his whole life. Ebo and AE are two of top prospects in the state, and whoever lands the duo is getting a huge impact pair. Ogundeko says the plan is already in the works.

Disappointing, but I wouldn't give up hope yet. ASU is in for a rough season. Might be able to pick him off later.

Awe man, that hurts but hey there are many others still on the board! Good luck to him and all but maybe we can sneak an official in later on.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but I don't think we're in contention for many other 4:s: ILBs. Anzalone is the only one that comes to mind. Hopefully I'm wrong.

There are a bunch of other possibilities at LB but this sucks. Still a long way to go though.

Would have been good if he at least visted.

Who do you is still a possibility at ILB?

He visited last year. This all came down to wanting to stay home.
I would love to offer Biesel. But maybe Anzalone, Michael Deeb, Trey Johnson, Yannick Ngakoue,

Tough loss for us but I have to say, ASU has a pretty sweet campus and much better facilities than most people think. Plus there are literally endless things for a college student to do in the Tempe/south Scottsdale area. I've always wondered why they don't recruit better than they usually do, if I was 18 and being recruited, I'd be really impressed.

Agreed! ASU has a beautiful campus, nice facilities (experienced 1st hand when Frank Kush took me on a personal tour), awesome town, beautiful women and probably the best Hooters I have ever been to (simply amazing;) )
