My answer is "all of them" each and every year, but if I had to pick one game that gives me an ulcer every season, it would have to be Southern Cal, hands down.

This is the year we start a streak of our own against SC. Last year was a great win, but two in a row will start to define a winning streak.

Outside of SC, I would love to be able to handle Navy.

All of them. Will that happen, i dunno but sadly for anyone outside of us big fans for and any of the media outlests to give a **** about us again and give us our proper due we gotta win it all it seems. No matter what kind of flashes of greatness we had unless we take home an NC or at least a BCS bowl win other fans and the media will dump on us, not saying thats right but thats the biggest monkey to get off our back to get respect again.

That being Said USC is a must win every year and we owe UM, MSU, Navy, and Stanford some *** whoopins because of the last few years and a fake field goal.

we'll get our respect when we stop getting crushed in BCS level games and or losing at home to teams like Tulsa and UCONN...

consistent 10 win seasons and staying competitve across the board will bring respect from media and other fan bases... we just haven't played at that level in 15 years plus

Haaaaaaaaaaaate the phrase "must win"

I abhor the phrase "must get"

We beat Michigan, great, MSU becomes the next big win game.

We win those few then Stanford, USC, BC, and Navy become the "must win" games.

Kelly wants a BCS game, meaning we have to win 10 or 11. They're all "Must win" except 1, maybe 2.

I agree with the office linebacker, but if I had to answer I would say South Florida. After the momentum built through the end of last year, recruiting season and the spring, to start the year with a home loss to USF would hurt. Obviously, it isn't truly a must-win. If we lose that game the season isn't over (I think we'd all sign up for losing the first game then running the table through the bowl game, right?), but I think it is really important to get off on the right foot and keep the momentum going.

Southern Cal/Stanford, I want those two wins in the same season again. The rest will take care of itself.

I forgot to mention, we also must win the SC game because the game will be played on my 40th birthday! I can't start the 5th decade of my life on a bad note! C'mon Irish, give me the best birthday by beating the tar out of SC!!!

IMO, the most important games to win are the home games.

Notre Dame Stadium hasn't been an intimidating place to play the last few years, and that needs to change. The "home field advantage" is so miniscule at this point, it's embarrassing. It is absolutely unacceptable to lose against UCONN, 'Cuse, or any service academy at home, regardless of the year.

WAKE UP THE ECHOES! MAKE SOUTH BEND A SCARY PLACE TO PLAY AGAIN!

We have to dominate at home. It is time to Destroy Michigan State in our house.
