I don't follow the National League as much as the AL, but are the Cards generally a weak hitting team? Lackey is hardly Cy Young, but the Cards look completely overmatched.

I don't get the error on Saltalamacchia. It wasn't an error that allowed the first run to score, because they gave Carpenter an RBI on the SF. Maybe it was for not catching the throw and allowing the runner to go to third, but the runner would have been out except for Breslow's throw. Don't understand two errors on that.

Carpenter, Craig, Molina, Holliday and Beltran batted pretty damn high in the rankings during the season. Molina, Beltran, and Holliday have been okay so far. Carpenter is slumping and Craig has been hurt

Cards had the best team batting average in the National League and are currently winning this game... lol

Yes, I remember Craig being pretty good before he got hurt.

Well, okay, but that inning wasn't exactly an advertisement for The Lumber Company; two walks, a SF, two errors and a couple singles. But I didn't know about the season average. I recall Molina and Craig hitting well.

Holy cow. Those last two guys are beasts. Can't believe they blow many leads in the 8th or 9th. Never saw either of those guys before.

It would be Felix Doubront getting the start in Bucholz' absence. He's actually pretty good. Had a string of 15 or 16 consecutive starts this season where he gave up 3 or fewer runs and pitched 6 or more innings.

Yeah, Doubront isn't too bad. I saw many of his starts this year. I'm almost thinking he may be the better game four option right now if Clay is truly not 100%. Buchholz's velocity has been down this post season...certainly not the same 11-0 start, sub 2 era we saw pre-DL. If Clay was truly Clay I'm sure he would not be pitching game four of this series...that to me is worrisome.

@ScottMCBS: Farrell says definitively that Clay Buchholz will start Game 4.
