I agree the longer players like Richardson and Lyons go, the better chance we have. That all goes along with a successful season. The better we look on the field, kids will really start buying into what BK is selling. Im stoked for Sept 4th.

So we land Justice Hayes early this morning, and after the visit this week, we've made Rabasa's final four. Very exciting weekend with hopefully more to come from the Lynch visit. We could really put together a dynamite defense with this class. Obv it will take a few years to come together, but this is certainly the right direction.
So what are the chances that we pull Rabasa away from Miami and land French? I know its a stretch but what a front 7 in two years when your talking about Manti as a senior with French, Rabasa, and Lynch around him!! Kind of an Irish dream but its fun to think about.

Yea that would be sweet adding Lynch, Rabasa and French...I have a good feeling though that Manti won't be around for his senior season...I agree hopefully Lyons. Lyons IMO would be the key to a great defense class. When was the last time we had a safety at ND rated as high as Lyons? Jeff Burris?

I said Lynch would be next so I am going to say Lynch again, although some one could pull a Rabasa and commit even before Aaron Lynch (That would be so cool). This weekend is starting off so nicely!!!!!

Lynch has his presser set up for tomorrow at the Linebackers Lounge so its a no doubter. I think after we land him, next will be Daniels after he gets his test scores in order and then I think we will see a dry spell. With not many slots left open and a solid class already in the bag, look for the staff to hold out for the "big fish." Im talking players like Lyons, Huggins, Richardson, and maybe K. Willams and French. That would round out an AMAZING class!!

This class obv isint closed out, but what a weekend. Three 4* recruits in a single weekend! All of which are positions that will need to be addressed. Lynch and Justice were to be expected, but Rabasa capped off BK's biggest recruiting weekend since being on campus. I know nothing is set in stone until that first week in February, but I must say..... this is certainly a step in the right direction as far as closing out an amazing class.

I've been saying Lynch in this thread for like three months now, but I think I finally have it right this time. After him, Williams/Daniels are probably the most likely.

Annnnnnnnnnd....wrong again Birdman!

How in the hell did Brown sneak that one in there?

OK, I think it's safe to say that Lynch will be our next commit.

Right?

Haha it has seemed we have discussed tomorrow for a long time now. What a whirlwind of day....guys like Huggins, Richardson (and maybe Drew, Tuitt, and Lyons) will no doubt take notice of these events. The delusional fan in me wants to believe they may have to move up their time table if they have us near the front of consideration.

I got pummeled for saying with attrition about 22 a few months ago. I read an article a few days ago (ISD??) that noted 21-22. And consider that with there's over 5 months to go to NSD. Attrition (injury, academics, ResLife, PT transfer) could add to it but Boyd and Badger opened slots already so there could be more (normal) attrition or it may stay static.

As of Saturday afternoon I'm thinking there's 6 slots left:

RB 1
WR 2
OL 1
DB 1
?

The slots shouldn't be considered fixed, I've changed them 4 times so far since I first typed them here. Kelly likes flexiible players. Is Daniel Smith a WR or S? There are others that start practice this week that may find position switches that modify the '11 needs.

Prestwood could be a Top OT 5 come Signing Day but he's got a steep learning curve this season. I still think ND wants another OT to replace the one that won't be coming in next week. But consider that Carrico and Springman could line up on either side of the ball. ND could pass on the OL for the better athlete at some other position.

Is Huggins a RB or a Slot Back (or is Hayes)? Huggins could play either but on paper I thnk he fills a WR slot, if he wants it ala Golden. Shuler is another flexible recruit.

The CBs are gonna be 6-0 tall and could play S with added muscle.

5+ months to sort it out.

I had told my girlfriend about the crazy day filled with commitments from Hayes and Rabasa and practically Lynch all night only to find out that Jalen Brown commits too!!! Time to go bug her about it!!!!

And I think the third time is the charm....Lynch will be the next to officially commit. Best day ever
