Podcasters not having basic level knowledge of what they are discussing,… I like to vary up my podcast topics quite a bit lately. Angels Baseball, Movies, Halloween History, cryptozoology, serial killers are all some topics I’ve listened to in the last month,… each time they’ve touched on a very basic level sub topics and gotten it all wrong or clearly don’t know about it. Like how dafaq are you hosting a show on Night of the Living Dead and you don’t know how Barbra dies in the movie!?! Or a show on cryptids and you’ve never heard of Mokele-mbembe!?! An educational podcast on Halloween history that states the Celts had no ties to Halloween’s origins and that its really just a Pride Holiday!? An Angels baseball podcaster that doesn’t know Tim Salmon won a World Series!? A podcaster on Serial Killers who was floored to learn Richard Ramirez and Zodiac weren’t the same guy. Its like every podcast I choose does this shit. Do these people not even just google their topics before hand??
I get that any random person can just podcast but damn, should the host having basic level knowledge of the show’s topic not be a minimum expectation??
