What is the "uniform surprise"?

I actually love that song, I'm not hating on hip hop in general, more just the over emphasis on it currently... that mix in the reveal was awful.

I never hated on the uniforms... lol

Touche, the music.

I don't like the green, but I just don't get the point of putting essentially christmas ornaments on our players' hands that are going to stick out like a sore thumb on holding calls.

Just a really bad factor to introduce for no reason.

I like options where the green replaces the blue. I don't like kits where green and blue are both present. Blue, gold, and white is home. White, gold, and blue is road. Green, gold, and white is alternate home. White, gold, and green is alternate road.

LOL

Now we're linking glove color : holding call chances? What about the "hold gloves" that other's were suggesting...Would the glittery, chrome be worse?

Are the gold helmets to blame for crappy targeting calls over the years!?!

If you think it doesn't stand out when 100% of refs are looking at hand placement for holding calls and pass interference, there's nothing for you and I to discuss.

I've tried to educate you before and it goes no where.

I'm actually with Koon on this one. It's the same reason MLB catchers paint their fingernails or tape their fingers.

I'd also like to add, blue and orange are complimentary colors.

So, blue gloves would actually contrast more against Clemson (Idk why we're discussing this, but maybe Kuehnja can learn something about the color wheel...assuming he doesn't have his own wheel...)

Show me the national data.

Obviously you're trolling, that doesn't exist.

Neither does proof that wearing ankle weights during would slow a player down, but my 4 month year old is probably smart enough to derive at that conclusion.

Refs look for hand placement when they make holding/pass interference calls every single time. EVERY single time. If they can't see the hands, it is not called.

If you don't think it's easier to see bright green when it's not on the uniform in that case, I got nothing for you. My 4 month old will understand better.

Keuhnja figured it all out. He's unraveling the mystery. He needs to send his thesis to Kelly/Swarbrick/Jenkins asap.

We should go solid black, everything. Or better yet, colorless!!

Orange gloves for the offense. Refs will never call a hold.

Don't understand the excitement or disdain for the uni's. There's really nothing there. Clemson fans or the announcers aren't going to see them and notice anything different.

1) Not trolling, I don't just "go along" with anecdotal evidence.

2) See my prior post, blue and orange are complementary colors on the color wheel...so, green would actually contrast less... (not to mention the green would blend in with the backdrop (grass)

3) What color should we go? Orange gloves?

Bruh it is Friday, I'm gonna have a fish taco.

For real, as if I were even gonna eat meat on a Friday, but there's no way in hell I'm gonna eat some plain Chipotle carnitas
It's not for the taste, it's for the lulz. I take great joy in ordering Chipotle and daydreaming about how much Camp hates it.

(Carnitas, brown rice, black beans, fajita veggies, all salsas, cheese, sour cream on the side.)

The thought of Wiz at the Chiptole counter thinking of my butthurt... "Actually I'll take two please."

My last comment to put your argument in a headlock, then you can continue your troll job.

You're married to this color wheel concept, and it's non sense. Even if it mattered, "blue" on the color wheel is not navy, there's a big difference. Consider shading much? Consider how the shade cast shadows? Obviously not. Due to the shade, Navy has an ability to blend in moreso than most standard colors.

On top of that, it's shortsighted for you to assume the colors against the opposing jerseys are all that matter (orange in this case). It's also the colors against our jerseys, which the refs to see how/where the arm is extended. Hint, our jerseys are white/gold/navy. Our gloves should be too.

The bright green will stand out for more reasons than one. Even your bad "color wheel" narrative is flawed.

Lastly --- and I won't name this poster, but he's not one that reps me often. Mods can ban me if I'm lying.

I just got reps that read as follows: "really sad how this dude just constantly follows you around. whatever. keep posting man. congrats on the 4 month old!".

Just to show that people notice you follow me around trolling. Color wheel, not trolling - call things whatever you want, but it's become obvious on this site.

Real talk though, after hitting up the Mexican food in El Paso and such... assuming that even that is better than the Mexican in New England,... I can start to understand how Chiptole is seen as a legit option by some of y'all...

My last thing, for real, unlike you who will never drop anything until you "win" (or at least convince yourself you did).

Also, (if I'm going to entertain your contrast/camouflage glove talk)...there's a lot more green (turf) than white or orange jerseys... You're assuming a ref would be standing in a position facing the o-line man head on, where the hands would be in-front of the white jerseys. The problem with that is, in order to face an oline-man head on, the defender would be in the way, blocking the ref's view entirely.

The best view an official would have of a hold would be "from the side", meaning, the gap between the players would be green (or sidelines).

In conclusion, my whole argument here is...

You're making way too big of a deal about colors/holding call ratio...it doesn't matter much at all (if any, still would like to see data).

A ref can call a hold on any play (or no plays).

El Paso has crap Mexican food? That's pretty crazy to me.

I don't understand the consternation over glove color IRT to holding. Blue or gold gloves would stand out just as much against the orange of Clemson, no? Unless we wear orange gloves I don't see how the color ofe the glove means we're going to get hosed every call.

I went in detail here somewhere about it... obviously mex (I guess Baja/Cali Mex) is one of my favorite foods so I'm going all out to find anything in El Paso that is decent. Doesn't have to be Baja styled, just good... and yeah, shockingly it's been pretty bad. My wife's family has members from Texas (Austin, Dallas), from Cali and from New Mexico... all three factions of her family have given up on El Paso Mexican declaring it awful. I have to find at least one spot though.... so my search shall continue.
