I read it several years ago. I don't remember that much about it other than the fact that I liked it very much. I liked most of Michener's stuff. If you like his approach of telling the story of a place through the eyes of multiple generations of the same handful of families, give Edward Rutherfurd a read. He's done several really good books of that sort on Russia, London, NYC, Ireland, and SW England. All really good.I’ve been working through the covenant by James Michener. 1200 page historical fiction on South Africa but way more entertaining than it sounds. Has anyone read other books by him?
