Made pulled pork and homemade flour tortillas.

Nice!

Smoked some ribs, made some mustard greens and bought some deli macaroni salad for today. Ribs were excellent. For tomorrow I’ve already made a big pot of albondigas. Set for the weekend.

Finally going to smoke a brisket tomorrow morning. I got a barrel smoker for Christmas and have been doing pork shoulder and ribs.

I forget who but someone asked for good Filipino recipes,... I think I forgot sotanghon soup. I’m making some soon and just remembered... great easy option for Filipino food.

Made some pancit with just the premade noodles and making the sauce myself. It was fine? I think I had the wrong kind of noodles

I’d suggest the super thin rice bihon noodles,... my wife’s family uses these. Super good:

Doing gyros tonight. Got a small bone in lamb leg roast marinading. Anyone have any suggestions on cooking lamb, I feel like it's a tricky meat that's easy to botch.

I made some chicken with a honey balsamic glaze last night. Threw some cherry tomatoes, scallions, garlic and red wine in for the glaze, topped with fresh mozzarella over rice.
Was pleasantly surprised how it came out, never made it before, and didn't look for any recipes.

Meatloaf, baked potato and a wicked salad.

Meatloaf is what we're making tonight.

Had the backed potato yesterday with my steak - sure was nice getting the grill out again as it was like 80 here yesterday, and today it's back down in the mid-40s.

Love gyros. What time should I be there?

Thought of you Tuesday night as the wife and I took Southeastern to get downtown. Not a car in the parking lot. My wife was wondering what occupation they list when filing for unemployment? lol

Tomorrow I’m making a really good tilapia dish. Rice cooked in butter, lemon and garlic then season the fish with lemon pepper and cook it in the pan with butter as well and serve together. Incredible.

I've made a leg of lamb for the past few Easters. Overall it cooked like a standard roast, not sure what to do differently for gyros.

LOL - that place missing me and the feeling is mutual. ;) Their official job title is "entertainer" I do believe.

Had a double Whopper with cheese and no onions this morning for breakfast. I love that BK serves lunch items in the morning. It sure did hit the spot!!

I realize I’m like the Filipino cook here but has anyone ever made/tried pork humba?? I’m thinking of trying it some time. It looks like a sweeter version of adobo.

Btw zel, did you ever make adobo?? I forget.

I have not gotten around to adobo, as I've not really been eating meat for Lent. I'll try to get around to it in the next couple months

Sounds good. Hit me up when you’re ready. A lot of recipes go way too light on the sauce.

yeah this isnt really like a roast. Since it is just me and the wife i bought the smallest piece from store and its more like a steak (about 1' thick). I think im going to give it a quick sear then into the oven for about 10 mins and see where it stands.

going to smoke a whole chicken on easter. Would love to see any good brine recipes yall use.

I love a good Gyro but my lady is not a fan - says the Tzatziki sauce stinks up the house let alone what it might do to my breath.

The lady used turkey meat instead of hamburger yesterday in the meatloaf - tasted like crap, but of course I didn't tell her that - just that I prefer that she uses the good stuff going forward, honey. :)

I little lean turkey once in a while won't kill you. Especially after having a Whopper for breakfast. lol

Baked chicken breasts last night. Marinated them in a brown sugar mix. Came out pretty good.
