Tombstone Citra Single Hop IPA. One of the 3 best breweries in AZ and one of the 2 best in AZ when it comes to hoppy beers.

I would love to buy an expensive bottle of scotch and get lit with you brother. F()CK politics. I'm your IE/Irish brother.

Sauce? don't tease?
Just a generic meat sauce. Pork, beef, and center cut bacon in crushed tomatoes onions and garlic. Round two will have some chili flakes, spicy sauce goes with spaghetti westerns

just went into the kitchen, pulled out the butter and whipping cream, looked at the sink and kitchen, put the shit back in the fridge and grabbed a frozen pizza out of the freezer... too lazy to do pasta, and too tired of the pulled pork and fajitas i made earlier this week...

easy eats and pillow for me.... + 4 or 8 more cheap beers...

Can't deviate from last week's regiment, so going with skinny bud until we lose.

How was the 107? I can't find it here in ATL, but a buddy of mine on the Left Coast really likes it a bunch.

As discussed in the game thread, if you see the Antique 107 in a store, get it. It's well worth the price (I paid $36 in one of my favorite brick-n-mortars, here.) It wasn't on the shelf, though, I asked the manager what Weller they had in stock. I'd probably pay up to $60 for it, and not feel cheated.

Last weekend I had some of my Dad's Hibiki 21 and the last of my Kirkland 27-year blended. Also had some Quilceda Creek 2008. We finally got around to celebrating his b-day. The Quilceda was losing its fruit, a bit. It was more Bordeaux than Washington, by this point.

Changing pace, I tried the Starbucks Cordusio, today. It was actually pretty good

Talisker 18yo. Just a wonderful whisky. Slightly sweet malt (toffee and slight orange), a wonderful brininess, leather, a growing smokiness, like a fire on the beach and all along a nice peppery note that never overpowers bu also never gets lost. Well worth the money.

Talisker Distillers Edition.

N: almonds, walnuts, rich sherry, raisins. The spirit is lost underneath.
P: Raisins, toffee, and nuts. Hints of saltiness and very light smoke.
F: Raisins linger, saltiness, smoke and some fresh cracked pepper linger.

Not a bad whisky but the sherry very much dominates the distillate. Still enjoyable.

Made chicken fajitas tonight, and had to also make a chocolate cake... found a couple bottles of red when I was searching for pans. Almost done with a bottle of Merlot. Not sure where they came from, but guessing they were either Costco purchases or something the neighbors brought...

I'm about to drop some dough on beer this weekend

ABW's Wet Hop Ale, brewed with 12 hour freshly picked hops from the nW
Sierra Nevada's Narwhal, which I really enjoy and hasn't been too pricey
Founder's Curmudgeon Better Half that I have been craving since I first heard about it last week

Excuse me for a second everyone....

Not a stout guy but SN in general is just great stuff. Decently priced, widely available (much to the chagrin of the BeerAdvocate hipster snobs), and typically really good. It's honestly pretty rare that I crack a SN selection I have yet to try and find I don't enjoy it. They are so underrated mainly imo because they're so mainstream now. It's almost as easy to find Sierra Nevada as it is Bud or Miller these days. I'd put them as one of the top brewers in the country no doubt, right up there with Deschutes, Stone, Lagunitas, Founders and Co.

The better half is pretty good, but my tastes still prefer their backwoods bastard.

Copperhead Imperial Stout. Pretty forgettable if I'm being honest. Too roasty for me.

Paired with: queso asadero melted with deli mustard. Not really the best pairing or combination of cheese and mustard and very greasy. So greasy.
