Not a problem. My only worry is that with the IPAs the longer they go, the more likely they are to start losing some of the hops.

I share your concern, haha. I'm getting into them tomorrow afternoon. Having a Wasatch Polygamy Nitro Porter right now. It's good not great.

I have to admit that while I really like the standard Dorado, I found that the Watermelon Dorado reminded me a little too much of a watermelon jolly rancher. To be fair, it was my 3rd or 4th beer that night, so I would like to try it again on a clean palate.

Definitely a lot of watermelon. I think watermelon jolly rancher is a great description. I think I like this more because the OG Dorado is a bit boozy for me and the watermelon sort of masks it a bit.

Played soccer a ways from my house tonight, stopped at a beer store new to me. What luck, had two 2014 releases of Old Guardian!

Stone Depth Charged Double Bastard.

Ballast Point Watermelon Dorado

I like it but don't love it, like PKT said the watermelon flavor is a little off.

Yeah, I thought it was drinkable and would probably get another 6 pack when the warmer weather comes through. I can see watermelon Dorado and chips and guacamole in my future when the temps get up there. I didn't mind the watermelon, although it was very prominent.

Also grabbed something called Moose Drool Brown Ale from Missoula, MT at the store. Excited to continue my palate's Great Leap Forward.

Grabbed a beer and appetizers last night with a friend passing through town, if any of you haven't completely went to the Dark Side of beer, see if Grain Belt Premium or Nordeast are available in your area. I have a suspicion that they are only available in a relatively small 3-4 state region.

Enjoy the Moose Drool. Big Sky makes some good beers.

SanTan Moonjuice IPA. Thanks pkt! Very good although I didn't like it as much as the Dragoon. Love the nose on this.

This moose drool is much less intense than the Imperial Stout last night. Yes, I know it's a bit early to drink but it's s big game.

Well I bought some BP Watermelon Dorado before seeing the reviews on here. After seeing what you guys said I was still thinking it might be ok because I love DIPA's and I love Jolly Ranchers. But it's bad. Way worse than a Jolly Rancher. Very artificial. I don't know why good breweries insist on using artificial fruit flavors.

Uinta 23rd Anniversary Birthday Suit Sour Raspberry Ale. This is an outstanding beer. Fresh raspberry flavor present but not too much. Really, really good.

What do you think of it?

Pretty light for an Imperial IPA. Crisp, lingering hop flavor. Floral with some pineapple too.

I figure you're the guy I should ask. Is it worth it/almost imperative to get nice scotch or whiskey glasses?

Thank you for your thoughts on the Lupulin River. I might try to grab a bottle next time I am in California.

As to Scotch glasses, what type are you looking at?

My favorite is the glencairn

I also have the Riedel Scotch glass

The Riedel bourbon glass

Snifter (or as I like to call it my cognac glass)

and a few others.

A good scotch glass doesn't have to be very expensive, I can pick up an individual glencairn for about $10 (or $30 for a 4 pack).

The glencairn was what I was imagining to be honest. Is it good for all purpose?
