BP Pineapple Sculpin while waiting for the others to get cold.

Still not a fan of it.

Stone Pataskala Red X IPA 7.3%
N: Citrus (Mostly orange and a little grapefruit), pine, caramel malt, and some pineapple and white grape.
P: Caramel malt, citrus (grapefruit, orange, lemon), pear and a touch of pine sap and piney bitterness
F: Finish is mostly on piney bitterness and grapefruit rind. Some slightly burned caramel bitterness as well.

It might have been a tad cold, so I am going to let the rest of the glass warm up a bit. Nose is wonderful, Taste is good, and Finish is ok. Maybe an 85-89? I had this one out of a tulip glass and I will try the next one out of an IPA glass.

As it warms up the grapefruit really starts coming through. Loads of pink grapefruit juice.

Founders Harvest Ale. I'm quite fond of this hoppy, effervescent beer. I think it's their second best, of those I've had, after the Breakfast Stout.

Now a cup of Green Mountain Double Black Diamond coffee. A really dark roast. Lots of charred notes.

Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin.
Founders Azacca.
Bells Hopslam.

Usually this time of year I'm hammering stouts and porters. Been a weird winter.

Yes and as a complete impulse buy it was great. Tart, citrusy, pretty good. Flavorful and plenty aromatic, but I like the style.

I think you would like other JP beets if you haven't already had. The artismals aren't my favorite but I've had a few good ones. JP definitely does the style(s) well. If you're ever in MI, their Traverse City taproom is top drawer.

Homebrewed? There's a Starbucks near me that has a Clover machine. They only use the good beans on that guy.

Sadly from a k-cup (though it is still very good). I miss grinding the beans and using a french press but having 3 young children has put an end to that.
