I think day and Stanley come back for their senior years.

I think Farley, Schmidt, Ishaq, Russell, Martin, and Hegarty all be invited back. I think Golson transfers so he could start right away.

Golson will graduate in May. If he plans to stay past that he will have to enroll in the grad program.

Golson is not a NFL QB. His best chances for a team close to play for a NC will be next year with the Irish. Where would he transfer to have that type of chance?

What I am saying is he might not choose to go to grad school at ND. Or he might not qualify for ND grad school. Therefore he would be unable to stay and play next year. Unlikely, but he may choose to graduate from ND then transfer somewhere else ala Christ, Hendrix, Wilson etc...

That I can go with. But he still has a year of eligibility with ND.

Technically he has a year of eligibility as far as the NCAA is concerned. Where he plays that is up to him.

True. If there may be one team he may go to that may interest both is Georgia Tech.

But, Golson's stock is not very high by any means. If you were recruiting right now, would you take a QB that has an academic scar on their record and, has 17 turnovers this year?

I believe his best choice is staying....

Golson, Martin, Hegarty on O. Schmidt, Ishaq, Farley on D.

I think a guy like Grace comes back if we have a schollie available after NSD.

I don't think we lose anyone jumping to NFL early.

And obviously DD is a wildcard. Don't think he returns, but maybe he will.

Agree. Hopefully he will choose to shoulder the academic load of ND grad school and play football.

He'd fumble about 10x a game running the triple option.

I think he stays and is the starter for the Texas game.

Hopefully..... And GT is a huge stretch....just close enough to his home (closer than ND) and runs an offense he could probably do well in. But Thomas is a screamer at QB and runs that option very well. It was the only school I could think of that he would possibly think of going.

Very True....when you run with the ball like it is a loaf of bread - bad things happen right?!

I'm pretty sure that Christ never actually graduated.

EG to Michigan. Hairball turns him into a Heisman winner.

Or he could go to LSU. Their QB play is Turrible

Do you really think schools give a crap about Golson heating on some test or paper? We're not talking about him going to the Ivy League bro. Look at any school that graduated/lost a QB, and start from there. A school like Miss St, UCLA, FL, etc etc etc. Not saying he'd go to any of those schools, but I am saying that A LOT of schools would take a kid with his talent.

Awesome bro. Helluva reply...learned a lot. Thanks for that bro.

Haha have a good one.

Look , I took my Graduates, I have a MBA in IT.... they not only did a background on my College studies, they went as far back as my Middle School studies. Getting into graduate classes is not as easy as one may believe. And, when you have an academic integrity issue, it gets really tough and sticky getting in much less getting a scholarship for it as well.

Did you play high level football?

They let kids who can barely read into grad school at football factories. They give them empty paper degrees and then off to grad school (or a double major LOL).

5th year transfers are all the rage. Educating athletes still isn't. So somehow, many (not all...some guys take their studies seriously) of these players who are not getting educated at their schools are still transferring and getting into grad schools at football factories.

And again, they won't give a rat's ass about Golson cheating on a test when they know their own tutors are doing papers and taking tests for their star athletes anyway. Cam Newton stole a laptop at FL and got kicked out, and 2 years later boosters from several schools were fighting to see who could pay his pops the most money to his signature. Think about that.

If he was at Wisconsin this year they would have been in the playoffs. A lot of tough teams out there with really bad QB play.

I have no idea what their QB situation is like right now, but how about Clemson for EG? He's like a better Taj Boyd

I would be okay with EG sticking around, but only if it means he's 1b or backup. I think Zaire is the QB we need with his running threat and leadership. We need a vocal leader on offense, we don't really have one if he's off the field.
