When ND figures out the second part of your question (lack of five stars and high four stars), the first part of your question goes away. This year was as good as it gets and we need to enjoy it when it happens every four or five years. Its 'Jimmys and Joes' that we will need.

Thats about where I am at right now. For me there is no excitement for the season, any season, because the reults are shitty, mediocre or if we have a great year to get blown out by otherworldly competition. And we hear the cries of ND doesn't beloing. While the truth is that 99.8% of teams don't belong, the narrative is that ND definitely doesn't belong.

along the lines of "its harder to get into Stanford but harder to remain at ND once you get there discussion"....how feasible is it to let those ND football players who want to/need to just take 12 (not 15) credits per semester...or at very least when they are "in season" in the fall?
they could make up the additional 3/6 credits with summer classes.
is this something that ND Admin would ever allow?

I may be wrong, but I think there is no requirement from ND that they be enrolled in 15 credit hours. I'm guessing that quite a few take just 12 as long as they are on a path to graduate in 4 years.

This is correct. The players take summer classes so they can take the minimum allowed during the season. The difference is, compared to other schools, ND players take real classes.
