Carrying grievance about 1993 after all these years seems pretty sad. If Rick Minter doesn't piss himself against BC, we're not having this discussion about it in a thread about random bowl games thirty years later. Sometimes you just have to let go.

Another thing that's sad is Ole Miss fans chanting "SEC" after scoring a touchdown against Penn State in a bowl game being played on December 30th. You're not all that just because a few teams that beat you every year actually are.

They were. It was two parts. SEC bullshit ball gargling and their QBs being injured.

The injuries made people project what might happen and the opportunity to play for a championship was denied. Texas and Alabama travel insanely well, too, which played a major role in them being selected. Bama in particular.

edit: and let me say this. There's a difference between football and REAL LIFE. I live in Tally and have for nearly 20 years. My kid goes to the FSU lab high school and will for 1 more year. That is, my money goes to and has gone to Florida State University.

Still hope their football program gets launched into the face of the sun, someday.

As someone said about Kiffin over in the Drew Allar channel, he does more with less and has really turned himself around as a coach. I get a sense he's more grateful about his life and his opportunity as an (SEC) coach and I think he and Ole Miss will do well in the CFB Playoff next year. (You could really see it when he spoke about his relationship with MSU Coach Mike Leach after he passed last year).
