The reality is scrambling and turnover luck isn’t a sustainable model to win a national championship. Maybe the luck was gonna end Week 6, maybe Week 12 versus ND maybe in the Playoff or what needed up tonight. But Caleb getting hurt wasn’t “unlucky”, it was inevitable.

USC was more one trick pony, a very good trick, than some machine.

Amen. Makes the ND loss that much more of a “what if” but hopefully ND has a bright future and a great chance at revenge in South Bend next season. Freeman & Golden need to take notes from the Utah game film. Sure Williams got dinged up making him less mobile but he got dinged up by the Utes D.
