BREAKING: 2 NYPD officers in Brooklyn | New York's PIX11 / WPIX-TV
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Two police officers sitting in their car in Brooklyn have been shot.
The shooting happened just before 3 p.m., Saturday at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Brooklyn Council member Robert Cornegy tells PIX11 that the officers were sitting in their car eating lunch when the suspect came up to the car and shot them.
The officers were taken to Woodhull Hospital where they are in grave condition.
The NYPD tweeted for people to keep the officers in their prayers shortly after the shooting.

Police chased down the suspect and shot him near the Myrtle Ave. subway station.
The suspect is also in grave condition.
The NYPD Special Victim Unit is offering a reward for anyone with information about the shooting.
