Yeah, it was just nuclear weapons stuff. No big deal. Us libtards were just being hyperbolic.
No need to be a condescending prick, it was an honest question. Some of us have jobs, kids sports, and family responsibilities. Can't vet every theory that comes this way. So can you tell us if there's been anything more besides the anonymous WaPo source, has it been confirmed?

Obama's executive order no. 13526, issued in 2009, laid out the stringent process all federal officials and agencies needed to follow for declassification, but explicitly exempted the sitting president and vice president from having to follow those procedures.

Do we know what Obama took home? LOL! Need to go raid his house in the Cape.

If one of his fellow cronies would have sold him out and told the fbi that he took home nuclear secrets I’m sure he would have been.

That doesn't say what you think it does. Sec 3.5 (what you are describing) b is an exemption to a mandatory declassification review by the originating agency when...

"Information originated by the incumbent President or the incumbent Vice President; the incumbent President’s White House Staff or the incumbent Vice President’s Staff; committees, commissions, or boards appointed by the incumbent President; or other entities within the Executive Office of the President that solely advise and assist the incumbent President is exempted from the provisions of paragraph (a) of this section."

This doesn't mean the President's or Vice President's Office can waiver their hands and make any documents they want unclassified. The law (as far as I know), still states that it has to be done in writing and be specific.

Yes. He’s being investigated under the espionage act, which was the least surprising thing that has been reported widely on all networks since the FBI sent people to search his home. … just like we’ve been saying … all while being told we are dummies and emotional for paying attention when a president commits treason. And no, he hasn’t been charged with treason yet, but it seems possible. As a retiree, I have time to pay attention.

John Solomon has verified this to be true from several others in the Trump Administration on how the President declassified these documents.
If this is true, there is still a process to declassify documents.

Nuclear classifications (RD) cannot be declassified by the President alone.

You gotta put this in perspective. We've seen people bite on the pee tape story, the Russian dossier, Trump commandeering the vehicle on January 6th, believing he told people to drink bleach, clearing the park for a "photo op," that he decided to put kids in cages, he'd launch nukes once in office, the Russian bounty hoax, the soldiers comments, and a host of other wild rumors that the media pushed as fact.

Now, obviously his home was searched by the FBI, but you'll forgive me if I'm looking for something more concrete than an anonymous WaPo source for the nuke rumor. Fool me once and all that. I just checked NBC's latest and they couldn't confirm WaPo's leak. On the other hand, while Trump said there was no nuclear related documents in there, he later came back and "suggested it wasn't unprecedented for a former president to possess nuclear-related documents" per the NBC report. Either he has absolutely no idea what all is in the contents of those boxes, which is quite possible given his reported lackadaisical approach to once daily briefings, or there is something there. In any case, given WaPo's track record I'll wait until we get some confirmation from the FBI and see how they handle it.

Sometimes you just got to laugh. Kid Rock advising on foreign policy is honestly jokes af.

Based on the account by Nugent of the meeting it sounds like they were casually talking about a number of topics and N Korea came up, but it is funny to think Trump asking Kid Rock for foreign policy advice  He should go to Dennis Rodman if he's serious.

I thought this part was cool. I didn't know Kid Rock played for Obama.
He also said he “played Barack Obama’s inauguration [in 2009] even though I didn’t vote for him. I didn’t agree with his policies, but there was an exciting sense of change in the air. That promise hasn’t been fulfilled – the country is more divided than ever.”
The last part is absolutely true, sadly, and it makes me wish we could return to a unity like we had after 9/11...without the tragedy. Some change in the air would be good about now though. Get some fresh faces in Washington.

The fact that anyone can stand here defending this should really be proof that we are a broken country with no hope of reconciliation. I think we actually are on our way to civil war. Maybe we need it.

Maybe it’s you who lack perspective. Trump colluded with Russia to affect the 2016 election. Just because the GOP refused to hold him to account didn’t make him innocent. He actively worked to obstruct the investigation and you cheered as he claimed it exonerated him.

He did clear the streets for a photo op and lock kids in cages. Those are facts. Period. And nobody said he tried to commandeer the car on Jan. 6. They said he lunged at a driver because he wouldn’t take him to his insurrection to play with his friends. That has not been disproven either.

I guess my issue with you guys is that you defend everything he does, no matter how obvious that he did it. You tell us what he meant to say even when we hear him say it. And it never occurs to you how fucked upon it would be if a tenth of what he has been accused of were true. Does it even occur to you that you have defended a fucking criminal for 5 years just because you are too prideful to admit you are wrong and that makes you look like a dope?

The FBI also published a list of contents they took, and the fact that they were looking for documents based on investigations that fall under the Espionage Act in addition to other statutes regarding destroying or altering classified materials.

He planned a coup and you ignored it. He tried to strong-arm Ukraine to sway the 2020 election and you ignored it. He lied to you 20,000 times and you ignored it. And now he’s been caught red handed stealing top secret information (whether it’s about nukes or not) and your attitude is to shrug and lecture the same people who have been telling you this guy is a criminal since 2016. You sound progressively more clueless every time you post in this thread.

At this point you are either shamelessly obtuse or just fucking don’t care about the fate of your country. But either way you can shove your condescension up your ass.

Mueller found no collusion with Russia, and the dossier was found to be mostly discredited. Opinion | What Did the Steele Dossier Hoax Cost America?
He didn't clear the streets for a photo op, that was deemed bogus after he left office. From the NPR over a year ago now: Watchdog Report Says Police Did Not Clear Protesters To Make Way For Trump Photo-Op
Yes, he put kids in cages, but that wasn't his decision as I said. It was strictly a continuation of Obama's policy, and the facilities were originally built under him: Fact check: Obama administration approved, built temporary holding enclosures at southern border
As far as the limo deal, I guess it hasn't been disproven, but Secret Service have come forward saying it didn't happen and they would testify to it. It's a White House aide's word against theirs, and the orange man's own fatness would have made it difficult for him to lunge for said wheel they've said  Trump's 'girth would prevent him from actually getting to the steering wheel' of his SUV, former Secret Service agent says: 'I don't see this president ever being able to do that. Ever.'

So...no, I don't believe those are facts you gave, they're rumors and hoaxes you've bought into, my guy. You say I'm clueless though, that seems to conflict with the facts.

I guess my issue with you guys is that you defend everything he does, no matter how obvious that he did it. You tell us what he meant to say even when we hear him say it. Why so angry? Relax, dude. You say everything he does is obvious, but based on the above examples it seems more likely you get overly emotional and don't wait to let the facts come out. I think you're jumping to conclusions and assume the worst with each rumor, to be quite honest, when the truth is often somewhere in the middle or far less. If Trump was guilty of a tenth of what he was accused of he would have already been locked up awhile ago, would he not? The fact he's not yet seems to say it's been largely a bunch of trumped up charges, pun intended.

How did he plan said coup and how did he execute it if he wasn't even at the Capitol when it occurred? Again, if he was guilty of such actions you'd think they'd have already taken him down instead of letting him play golf for the last two years. It's because there was no plan, it was a disjointed throng of people with no clear goal or organization: Exclusive: FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated - sources
I know when I'm planning a coup I always make sure to say things like "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." It's quite a conflicting message, would you not agree?

I really couldn't care less if Trump continues in politics. I'd prefer he fade into the limelight, but at this rate he's still getting too much publicity even without most social media. I do enjoy the discussions though, and if I see a bunch of spin I'm going to try and ground it. That's all. I'm not sure why you think I'm condescending, I try to be polite and fair. You said "Yeah, it was just nuclear weapons stuff. No big deal. Us libtards were just being hyperbolic." when I asked a simple question. I've not made light of the possible nuclear information that may or may not have been at Trump's residence, and I've never been one to throw out names like "libtard." I've not been banned in the past or taken a break, and I hope to continue that. I feel like you're putting me in this box with all conservatives like we're part of a hive mind when we're all very different. I'm under no illusion that Trump is a saint, and I know he's also not quite the devil the talking heads makes him out to be. At the end of the day he's a politician and they're all pretty much con artists. Gutter rats accusing other politicians of being vermin is what they do, and underhanded business is their trade. It's like introducing a new bill called "End World Hunger" that also gives more military aid to Ukraine and makes puberty blockers covered by Medicare, and when someone objects to either of the later two clauses it's "Why do you hate starving people?!" It's so disingenuous and silly.

If I come across jaded it's because I am. You're probably right, I probably don't care about the country because I think ultimately in the end it'll be fine. Politics in this country are screwed up, but we got through four years of Trump quite well. Some of us even thrived! I quite enjoyed the bonus I got from my company after the tax breaks, although I aware I'm in the minority that received them. I'm more concerned with my own situation, I've got my own problems to deal with. As is, I'll continue to support whichever side lightens that load because family comes first. I'm here for the policies, not the candidate.

Get his traitor ass.
Putin's puppet taunts Biden as Russia 'studying' top secret US nuclear plans 'for a while'
Aurora Bosotti

The Russian pundit ridiculed the FBI's search for classified documents at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort as he insisted any detail of new weapons is already known in Russia. The former president was served with a warrant earlier this week, which was later disclosed to have been issued under the Espionage Act. Evgeny Popov taunted Joe Biden as he appeared to suggest details of top-secret intelligence into new military developments have been in Vladimir Putin's hands "for a while."

I truly hope you mean a nonviolent civil war, because the people who lean right have a lot more weapons than the soy boys on the left do. Just a hunch.

Republicans reported that they owned at least one gun, and 61 percent said that they lived in a household with a gun. In comparison, only 21 percent of Democrats owned at least one gun, and 31 percent lived a gun household.
