Yes or no - Did people buy it from farm supplies stores?
standard toronto response. ignore the points that you can't argue and shift the goal posts to deflect. but sure, i'll humor you.
Context required to answer your question, as you well know. Yes, people purchased IVM from farm supplies store, but only because of illegal federal and state intervention that prevented what should have been normal, standard access to a drug with a very safe profile.
Some people felt they had to resort to buying IVM from farm supplies store because pharmacies across the US (including giants like CVS and Walgreens) refused to prescribe ivermectin (even with a written prescription) due to threats of license loss. some doctors were fined and even had licenses suspended for prescribing ivermectin. some doctors lost certifications that prevented them from treating patients. Even though off label prescriptions are common.
And when people tried to import ivermectin prescriptions from overseas, orders were intercepted and confiscated by US Customs and Border Protection.
So, yes, people bought it from farm supplies store (stupid, in my opinion), but their hands were forced because of illegal intervention that prevented what should have been standard access.
This illegal intervention ignored more than 50 RCTs comprising more than 10,000 participants, showing that IVM's RRR is 0.48 [0.37‑0.62] with p < 0.0001. Again - statistical significance is p < 0.05. At p < 0.0001, that is 500x more certain than baseline statistical significance. To dismiss this is willful ignorance.
Is everything YA BUT WHAT ABOUT *insert xyz antivax grievance* for you?
Stay on topic, toronto. I'm not antivax. Never have been. And I'm not talking about COVID shots. I'm talking about IVM.
Stop conflating topics or misdirecting or deflecting or spinning, or whatever it is that you like to do.
And, to answer your question: obviously not. But if someone complains about the current administration: exhibiting authoritarian behaviors, participating in overreach, suppressing free speech, targeting dissenters, or ignoring science - yes, I will mention this, namely, because the previous administration did all of these things within the last 5 years, and those examples still apply. to get mad at the trump admin while ignoring the same sins from the past admin is hypocrisy.
that said, i realize this might not resonate with you since you have stated that you excuse any overreach or infringement on civil liberties as long as that overreach ends at some point. just don't complain if overreach targets you for any amount of finite time.
We're talking about Tylenol and autism. If you want to take ivermectin to treat pain relief for a headache go nuts enjoy.
you are the best strawman generator on the board, i'll give you that.
