Charlie Kirk and all of these right wing influencers are fucking dumb lol. Same could be said about a lot of left wing influencers, but the right wing influencers’ ability to completely and shamelessly 180 on any issue is so pathetic lol. Catturd is by far the worst with it lol

Advocating for genociding a group of people is a sign of great that strong midwest culture.

The culture isn't bad because they are brown(some are but some are as white as Jews and Syrians)or because it's Islamic. I think Toronto's point is that it's a slippery slope arbitrarily labeling cultures different than as ours as bad.

This particular culture is bad because it's been nazified. From birth, the gazans are told that Israel stole their land, they are evil and that Jews must be eliminated and that martyrdom is noble. It must be denazified and that takes a nazi germany like defeat and the world won't allow that. As I type this, tens of thousands of gazans are celebrating Hamas and chanting 'slaughter the Jews'. This after Hamas got 47,000 of their brothers and sisters killed. But holding out and forcing Israel to finally agree to a cease fire to get their hostages back made it all worth it to them. This isn't culture, it's a death cult.

They are told NOT to treat gaza as home. There are signs everywhere that say 'do not treat this as home. It is not.' This is why they don't care if Israel levels it. 1. It's not home and 2. They know that the world is just chomping at the bit to rebuild it for them. They don't really lose anything because they don't have any real skin in the game.
Many of the inhabitants are free to leave the refugee camps(as well as the ones in the West Bank)but refuse to do so because it takes away their right to return. They actually believe that they are going back to Israel and reclaim the country.

It's ridiculous, it's fantasy but they are told that it's going to happen. So, instead of moving out of these camps and building a life for themselves, they stubbornly sit there and let the U.N. take care of them. Some camps, they are forced to stay simply to make Israel look bad.

I feel far worse for the Arabs in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. I have a lot of problems with Israel and how the jews treat them(as well as Christians)there.

A very good post. I don't think anyone is necessarily labeling other cultures as bad. It's the terrorist who happen to be of ME descent and are Islamic. They'll kill their own without any hesitation.

During my time managing communications and digital strategy for a PAC over multiple cycles, I worked with a respectable budget and gained some valuable (and frustrating) insights. One of the most striking realizations was how much more engagement “gin-em-up” posts—designed to provoke outrage or appeal to base instincts—generated compared to thoughtful, insightful content. It was disheartening to see the algorithms consistently reward sensationalism over substance.

I also encountered a troubling trend among some political operatives, particularly on the right. A few individuals, like Kirk, seemed to focus more on raising money for political groups only to funnel those funds into their own advisory or printing companies. It’s a self-serving cycle that feels more like a scam than a movement. Unfortunately, this isn’t exclusive to one side of the aisle—similar patterns exist on the left, with organizations like BLM mst notably.

I've only advocated destroying the enemy and it's not as simple as skin or location.

I don't know anything about this particular event in Gaza, but as an old professor, it bothers me when I see stuff which violates the clean search for truth in anything. I looked into this picture scenario, and the general information about it is that it shows a bunch of Palestinians celebrating the cease fire and the release of those girls who were hostages. (I'm making no comment here about whether Gaza people are "good" or "evil" --- I'll leave that to each person's prejudices --- I imagine that that are plenty of each in that picture.) What I think should be said, though, is that the caption and general comment by "Dr. Maalouf" here is misleading at best, and probably should be labeled as simply a lie.

How's that possible? Well, we know that lying in public has become a national pastime (I can't tell you how much this grieves me, who has spent a lifetime trying to present truth in the classroom --- I just hate it.) This fellow, who I believe refuses to identify himself anywhere let alone the free-rein wilderness of Twitter, once (when he admitted he was drunk) e-mailed a person who had expressed great stress about one of his tweets which smeared his background ethnicity with a broad brush, to actually apologize to him. In that brief e-mail, he said that all he tries to do with his twitter account is to promote as much controversy as possible for "monetization purposes." That is: lying about anything to promote himself and make money. Well, yow.

Again, the Israel-Palestinian fiasco is long-lived and EXTREMELY complex. I am a Crusades History buff of sorts. I know all that stuff. Almost none of that was Islam vs Christian --- it was Power vs Power. Saladin, weirdly and surprisingly, was probably the most humane power leader in the early serious Crusade period (and no, he was no angel either; but he would listen, negotiate, and hold true to his word.)

Since people seem, very oddly to me, to enjoy shouting hatred at one group or another (especially from the safe distance of their computer room), I'll back out now and get out of Hatred's Full Flow. I terribly dislike the treatment of women in some of those cultures, and view it as an abomination, but I don't find it in me to want to bomb everyone because of that. We have wife-beaters in all societies (and even name one of our T-shirts after that "honored" activity.) Do I want to beat all men who do that to a bloody pulp? Yes. Christ is at my shoulder telling me to cool down at least a little.

Shia Islam has reformed to a degree. Which is a good thing. They understand that it's no longer 700 ad, just as Christians understand that it's no longer 70 ad(women must be silent in church and wait until they get home to ask their husband if they have any questions). This was the culture at the time. It no longer is. Just like it was recommended that christians stay single by Paul. This was because christians were being beheaded and burned alive by the Roman empire at the time. Probably not a good time to start a family.

Sunnis, unfortunately, have not reformed. Many, not all, still act as if it is 700 ad. It isn't. This is part of the reason why their is so much contempt between the two major factions of Islam. It's not just who was the rightful heir after Mohammed was poisoned to death. But the fact that Sunnis think that Shia fell away from the true faith and that Shia think that Sunnis are Neanderthals stuck in the past.

Interesting post.

If we’re being honest Iran has long been one of the most rational actors in the region and the level of animosity directed toward it makes zero sense from a nation security standpoint. This is even more evident when you stop to consider that it was the Saudi Arabian government and or Saudi actors/money that bankrolled Al Queda, Isis, the Taliban and the Madrasas in Pakistan that helped give rise to the Taliban as well as many other Jihadi groups throughout the globe.

If there were ever a state sponsor of Islamic terrorist groups on the international level Saudi Arabia would be it.

If you read the press in Israel, Israelis (including many in the security services) have said that about Netanyahu and the settler aligned right wing members of his cabinet.
