I have an extremely hard time imagining any non-Trump-blinded sentient human listening to those recordings of his comments on reporters and news organizations and coming to any cool intellectual analysis of his accusatory and even threatening remarks. That set of remarks was nearly rambling (barely coherent) and CLEARLY meant as intimidation of his "enemies", in a behavioral pattern I've begun to expect: toss very strange, unexpected, and near-violent words out there, and see if any of it gets possible legs to use as a popularity enhancement or a weapon for increased power consolidation.
I never thought that I could possibly see a day when some power hungry egoist would possibly make a run at becoming "President for Life", but I am not going to be stunned anymore if this megalomaniac tries it. Sometimes I think I've somehow gotten lost into a pre-apocalyptic horror novel instead of my old flawed but mainly moral and checked-and-balanced America. (where usually both parties really talked to one another, and a Senator was occasionally a Statesman instead of a Republican or a Democrat.)
