While in office? In my memory..in modern history....I'm not recalling it happening.

After they are out of office, very common.

I don't recall it occurring while the president was sitting though. Most of anything I can find via a quick Google references engagements after they are out of office.

Good very quick overview....at best..since no one can say where the money is going for sure..this seems..not a great deal.

If it's a party fundraiser, it would have SOME standing with precedent.
I couldn't find anything either, but yeah I'm okay with it as long as it's at his place.

If you can't stand up and cheer for the apprehension of the terrorist who killed 13 service members in Afghanistan during the withdrawal, you don't deserve to be an elected representative
I get them not standing or applauding when Trump is talking about the changes, spending , fraud, etc.. Holding up signs is childish, but it's more concerning that they didn't even applaud the passage of the Laken Riley bill, or applaud for the young man who became an honorary member of the Secret Service.

What do you think they'd basically be again? It would just become an American territory. God forbid.

I don't care if we do or we don't, but pretending it's something sacred to Denmark is silly. There is a population of like 40-50k there? What's Denmark doing with it beyond pretending to have a foreign colony (a song to their old greatness)?
Denmark is actually having conversations on turning Greenland loose.

Of course you are.........
Are you seriously asking this question or are you just this stupid?

Do you ever get anything correct?

You're this stupid?

Good to know.

Did I say they should simply stop there? This is timid behavior.

Cool, now do everything Trump has done and is still an elected official.

Cool. Define what is illegal protest in that tweet.

Go for it.

Look at this guy backing a rapist.

There is no God.

Wow. Sounds serious. I'd contact a lawyer.

No, I want you to point me to where he lays that out in the post.

Not really. You're the one who can't read.

You're literally too stupid to insult. Yes.

Genuinely telling you that if you don't know what is going on, don't step into a conversation.

Figure it out yourself. If you are capable.

Yes, I point out how wrong you are. A lot.

This is some idiocy.

Would have loved to, but you know..graduation and all. You'll get there..eventually...maybe..well..likely not...but you tried.

You answer me, I'll answer you.

You still haven't agreed to my terms. Call Trump a hypocrite.

No kidding.

Of course you are.........
Why do I get this feeling someone is living in moms basement eating Little Debbies and Mountain Dew?

This is primarily a deal to try and get the American hostages out and is also a bit of a panic reaction to the Arab nations trying to cut the US out of the Gaza rebuild with their investment plan they laid out the other day. Trump's admin also said yesterday that his deal would include Hamas not being present in Gaza, which I think anyone doubts Hamas would agree to.

It's a good thing to work on getting American hostages out but I doubt much will move on the Israel side of things as Israel violated portions of the ceasefire and if Hamas lets the hostages go without another broader ceasefire/truce, Israel will just start the process over again.

This could be really good. If Trump changes his public position of making Gaza into an American territory, and removes Hamas from any leadership position in Gaza would be a huge win.

But, this only works if Trump speaks to Bibi like he did to Zelenskyy because he has done an Oct 7 to Palestinians every year with American financing.

I think his comment about making Gaza a U.S. territory was more of tactic to get things moving, but regardless, getting Hamas out would be huge.

So, hmmm... dems in Congress screaming and yelling, having a childish temper tantrum, disrupting just for the sake of being disruptive, all because they're incapable of engaging in adult dialogue, mad that they lost, mad that their goofy ideas got soundly rejected by the voters, and lacking in the ability to read the room, understand what happened, and do anything other than parrot the same tired, failed, goofy nonsense that got their party booted from power. Congress reminds me of another place I know!

To be fair, Biden had great numbers as well related to his State of the Union. Generally speaking, the vast vast majority of viewers will be from the party of the sitting President. Members of the the opposing party don't like sitting through the mental anguish of listening to other party speak.

Keep at it Bua. Other people favoring Trump actions should step up and make THEIR arguments as to why these sorts of things are "good" for our country and humanity in general, but they shouldn't blissfully deny that things ARE happening which are extremely challenging to half the country and a lot of the World.

You are pushing the actual front line issues into conscious focus. THAT is exactly proper for concerned citizenship as our democracy is constructed. Keep it up and my thanks. (The name-calling will increase against you, but not by me.)

(This president has already hurt me, as the stock market has dropped for my retirement monies just as my required out-take has come, which means each newly taken "share" I have in my portfolio was worth less, therefore more of my shares were decimated. For me, it just means eating a bit lower on the food pyramid, and not giving to my charities, but I don't LIKE either, especially the latter. Many of my former neighbors will be hit far more in "quality of life".)
You realize like 20 people read this board
