i will stand by my opinion...cabrera should win the MVP hands down. baseball is about producing with the bat if you're a position player. idk if a player has ever lost his chance at the MVP b/c he doesn't have a good glove.

you can't give it to any other player, but miguel cabrera. you're more than welcome to disagree, but i think the triple crown needs to be rewarded

sure i wasn't around back in the 40's and i'm biased as a sox fan, but i think teddy got robbed the year dimaggio beat him as well, but like i said i'm a sox fan.

I think what is the most impressive about him being a triple crown winner is having the average. Miguel is a big guy and I can run faster than him. This means he isn't beating out ground balls for infield hits to have a high average. Kid is an absolute beast.

Take Trout off of the Angels and they are still watching the playoffs from home. Take Cabrera off Detroit and they are joining Anaheim at home. Who is more valuable. Yes they are two different things but Cabrera has earned both.

In this age of specialization I never thought I would see a Triple Crown. Pretty cool stuff, good for baseball. Batting average with power is a rare feat. Baseball should be promoting the heck out of it.

Absolutely can't stand Miguel Cabrera. That being said, it's good for baseball and the Triple Crown is a once in a lifetime thing to see.

People said the same about Tim Salmon...

To be fair to Tim Salmon he had a very nice career 299 hr, and a .282 career avg. And Tim's rookie season was no where close to Trout's. Trout looks more like pre-knee problems Eric Davis.
