A lot of people have thought Slovis would be the better option. And with the potential passing of the one time transfer rule, now seems like a good time to look around. Keep in mind that entering the portal doesn’t mean he can’t go back to USC if there are no good options. But, I doubt that’ll be the case.

If he has to sit a year, I wouldn't mind if ND went after him.

I don’t want that in our locker room. A lot of entitlement here. The opposite of what the staff has worked so hard to build in the program.

Will probably end up at Bama, UGA, LSU, Clemson, OK, or Ohio State and win a NC and/or Heisman....

Personally I'd love to see him stay in his home state, go to UCLA or Cal and seek revenge on USC... Or any PAC school. Don't really want him upsetting the ND apple cart. I think we're all good at QB for the next 5-6 years.

Agreed.

!!!!Hot take time!!!!

And I know he was highly touted and all buuuuuuuuuuut are we positive he's that good? Not sure who is going to be knocking down the door to get him.

My 100% lock pick of the century - he joins Brady Hoke at San Diego State.

I’ll take a flyer and say he ends up with Mike Leach at Mississippi State.

I wonder where Rutgers is on in their numbers to get to eighty-five.

No thanks on JT Daniels and last I read is that he is still considering USC.

Tell us how you really feel Amon-Ra....you should've come to ND.

According to Driskell, ND looking to add a CB from NC St as a grad transfer. His name is Nick McCloud. If he gets approved to ND’s grad program, the Irish are likely takers

'Jake Anderson of ElevenWarriors.com called McCloud "one of the most reliable cornerbacks in the ACC," adding that he has "the physicality to challenge any receiver" and could "potentially step in right away as a starter opposite Shaun Wade" for the Buckeyes.'

Seems hard to believe OSU of all places would be looking for a transfer at corner but it's a real validation of his talent. Crawford is solid but unfortunately undersized and injury prone, and maybe better suited to nickel corner. Bracy has done well to earn solid minutes in both of his first two seasons but he makes me nervous. McCloud gives Wallace and Rutherford more time to develop, I think we should be very excited if this gets over the line.

Well that was fun for like 5 minutes. I was thinking we could potentially get a starting CB transfer then found out OSU has interest. He gone

I’m so glad to be wrong on this one! I know I’m probably forgetting, but this has to be one of biggest transfers we’ve picked up in terms of positional needs in a while. I guess you have to throw Gilman in there but he had to sit out a year. Cody Riggs is the other that comes to mind.

Rutgers takes its eighth Power Five transfer in ex-Nebraska quarterback Noah Vedral

According to 247Sports, Vedral will be immediately eligible to compete for the starting job as a graduate transfer and has two years of eligibility remaining. He'll finish classes at Nebraska this month and then have the opportunity to enroll and join the Rutgers program, though he will like everyone else have to wait until the return of players to campus to meet his new teammates in person.

With no spring practice to battle (Adrian) Martinez for the starting job (at Nebraska), Vedral opted to seek another playing opportunity and put his name in the NCAA transfer portal on April 28.

I wonder if we will see more entering the Transfer Portal due to no spring practice?

By my count, Rutgers is at 89 scholarship players, counting all fifth years currently there and three STers. Vedral is the sixth QB on the Rutgers roster.

Please tell me there is an easy to find, online resource that would provide this information. If people are counting Rutgers scholarship numbers, I'm waiving the white flag on this pandemic.

Alabama QB Taulia Tagovailoa, who entered his name into the NCAA transfer database on Friday, is transferring to Maryland. Maryland’s HC Mike Locksley is the former offensive coordinator at Alabama.

Mac Jones will be Bama's starting QB with freshman Bryce Young expected to be backup.
