Named FootballScoop QB Coach Of the year. Good for Tom, really impressed with Book’s progression. I can’t wait to see what his future has in store for him, I think he could be a really good OC one day

I like Tommy and all, but just based on the results of some of these awards, I kind of understand why non-ND fans resent ND.

I mean, BK has won coach of the year 3 times???? Really??? I like BK and all, but there are alot of teams out there with alot of good coaches. Tommy probably got this award based on the play of Ian Book... but cant you argue that based on Winbush, he actually didnt do that great of a job?

I mean you could argue that they reached the ceiling with Brandon and how ready and incredible Book was this season to step in shows he earned it. considering Kelly has gotten COTY in seasons where he’s gone undefeated... I don’t think that’s too unreasonable. I think Clark deserved it more but I don’t think it’s unreasonable

Um, one of those was at Cincinnati. The other two were undefeated seasons. So...

I honestly would not be shocked if Tom is back at ND 15 or so years from now as an OC or hell, even as HC. He has incredibly football IQ. I'm hoping he has a lot of coaching success.

I bet he gets a title bump this off season.
wouldn't be shocked if he was our OC in 5 years if BK is still here.

15 years is old-timey thinking. :) It's all about the young guys now!

Agreed. Hell if Long is here 3ish more years, it wouldn't shock me if Rees was promoted to replace him when Long leaves.
