I went on the tour presentation this Monday in Orlando. The guy promised it would be two hours and it turned into 2 hours and 45 mins of them telling me how it's worth the money. It was exhausting. I wouldn't recommend.

Seven times I asked them how to get out of it if I were to buy (there rate was 16%!). They kept saying, you won't want to sell it, you will want to keep it forever. Or give it to your kids. blah blah blah.

Funny story - our tour guide was trying to sell us one week of $40,000 vacation club but about $2500 in annual fees but collected centipedes during our tour. Said he collects them and sells for a $1 each. It was baffling

My Dad wanted to gift his timeshare to us kids. All we had to do was to take over the maintenance fees. None of us wanted anything to do with it. He eventually had to pony up some significant dollars to get out of the timeshare.

My wife was suckered into buying a timeshare in Orlando that she has never used and has paid off. She doesn't have much time left, which means it will become my timeshare that I'll never use and desperately want to just give away to someone.

Went to a TS presentation in Myrtle Beach in order to get Medieval Times tickets 30+ years ago during my honeymoon. Soaked up too much time and had to argue to get them. Ugh! A harbinger of things to come.

Reminds me of the Kirby vacuum presentations. Did that once to get a free frying pan. The dude literally threw the pan at me as I kicked him out of the house. Eggs were solid in that thing the next morning. (y)

That’s hilarious.

I attempted to sell Kirby Vacuum Cleaners door to door in Bakersfield, CA for a minute. I was the worst salesman ever and mostly just agreed with the clients when they said they couldn’t afford it. Lol.

Those things were super bad ass though. The haircut attachment was glorious.

This post hits close to home. I'm heading to Myrtle Beach next week, may go to Medieval Times while we're there

Be prepared for shitty tattoos, overweight slobs in bathing suits that are entirely too small. I recall seeing it there, more recently in VA Beach and Ocean City, MD as well as at Cedar Point.

I'd rather sit thru another TS presentation than be confronted with the decline of America.

You should come to Charleston’s area beaches. So much nicer and classier. Yes I’m a snob

Sat through one back when TS's were just starting to become popular. We managed to avoid signing, but those folks sure have a rebuttal for any "No thank you" reason you throw at them.
