What, no recognition of the missing "w" in the thread title???

The barb in this post (and many others) are fictional and do not depict any sense of reality.

Well the first "L" should be capitalized because it is the first word of the sentence, so I don't see it. Lol.

Well, "lol" does not represent a sentence. It represents an Urban Dictionary worthy phrase. A sentence requires a noun and a verb, but "lol" has no noun representation, and therefore (ergo) does not represent a sentence.

I noticed that my shoes have a stain and that my neighbor isn't all that. Wait, what were we talking about?

So, should it be RBI, or RBIs, or RsBI?

Back to topic (before I get banned and attacked by stray animals...). Uniforms on both sides are cool. Gimmicky, but cool.

Looks like someone has been listening to me!

1. Shamrock on helmet

2. White "green" jersey

3. Striped socks

Tremendous look. Way better than the '92 Sugar Bowl. Love it.

Eric!

I knew I liked you.

Well 'lol" techincally stands for "laughing out loud" and the first part which is "I am" is just not spoken. I really wish I could think of the type of sentence that is, but I guess I am not as educated as most. O well, I am destined to fail. Lol.

Isn't it called a fraction if it isn't a full sentence?

The jerseys are fine. Absolutely hate the helmet though. The early 60s were not exactly ND's glory days.

Fragment.

Or a clause.

In English, declarative and interrogative clauses must always have a subject, so the phrase might be "Give it your all." The pronoun it becomes a noun. What you all may be confusing is the implied "you" which is the actor, or who the phrase is directed towards.

Japanese, Spanish, and I believe Mongolian allow you to drop the subject entirely so the phrase would be closer to "Give all."

So laugh out loud, would have to be "laugh it out loud." Or in a strange case "Laugh humorously out loud." to be anything more than a sentence fragment in English, follow?

PS I may have been “BS”-ing about the Mongolian part.

And Bo, three words and you say it all, what is there a verb shortage?

It is a phrase that is a fragment, not a sentence, or it could be a clause. But you left the am not out of your fragment.

I'm probably wrong, but I thought a "throwback" jersey was supposed to be a replica, or at least a close imitation of a certain style of jersey a team wore in the past. Do either ND's or Michigan's "throwback" jerseys represent a certain era when that style of jersey was worn?

I think they are using creative licence. Of course, the shamrock on the helmet is from the Kuharic era, and possibly used even further back. Its traditional. The shoulder stripes have been used before, along with green numbers, but I don't know for sure that all of those elements were used together at the same time before.

But what is ND known for if not innovation over the years? We BECAME prominent for being cutting edge. That ended over the last 30 years or so, but that perception can change again. Hopefully, this can become a recurring alternate uniform for us. There isn't any reason we can't be innovative (like we USED to be) AND protect important traditions at the same time.

Hey guys, tradin’ in the homestead for a Odyssey with campin’ gear and my youngest four kids, we’re hitting the Badlands, Black Hills, (Place is spiritual) maybe as far as Devil’s Tower, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, for sure. Campin’ with bison, night hikes by starlight, and we’ll probably see the Corn Palace on the way home.

Dshans, drivin’ just passed you, Neutered and Johnny, drivin’ half way there in the wrong direction. You guys take care. Here’s to me being able to say “Look at all that’s happened since I’ve been gone!”

When I get back, we got to brainstorm about this Irish Envy internet radio show.
