While you may laugh, I have no clue who those people are. But the woman with the UofM bag deserves to trip on it, fall, and mess up her face.

For my kids middle school homecoming week they have a different dress up day each day. I have no clue who in the hell approved it, but Wednesday is opposite sex day. They are requesting these kids cross dress. WTF is wrong with the school. Nothing good can come of it. Its odd to say the least. And I'm mortified as my son is looking thru his sisters closet for a dress as he thinks it'll be fun in a normal way. To me, there is nothing normal about it.

Give your son some jeans and a flannel shirt to wear. He can tell people he's dressing like a lesbian.

But seriously, WTF with that school?

Seriously I'm mortified as a parent. Now my son does have a lot of friends and is quite athletic, so in todays school society he isn't one to get bullied or picked on. However, how can whoever thought of this in the school think its a good idea. With all the issues within our schools with more and more dress codes, bullying, strict interaction rules, and children younger and younger learning about sex and such, how can anyone think this is ok. Its not about the 'my son is dressing like a girl' thing either. He's ok with it as are a lot of the students from what I gather. But it just opens so many doors that could lead to negative things. The bullying and such. Ridiculous.

Welcome to "Random Thoughts with ACamp1900"

So I have watched the 73 Sugar Bowl Classic against Bama a number of times… a few things stand out to me, like noticing an already alive and well SEC bias in the media/commentating for example…

But one thing that always gets me is that game was played shortly after ND went co-ed… and the cheerleaders were wearing short skirts with lettering on the butt… very ‘sexy’ outfits for the time… and most of them were HOT… at least for 1970s style hair and such…

Dafaq happened???

Didn't know where to put this. So here it goes:

My favorite band Phish just wrote a song about Darius Washington, Jr. If you forget, he played for Memphis and missed two free throws at the end of the Final Four game against Louisville.

The song is all about that experience.

The band (Phish) made it clear that they are not making fun. They say they relate with him, thus the song.

Now time for "Random thoughts with ACamp1900"

My gosh, Tammi Terrell was so freaking gorgeous... one of the more photogenic women I’ve ever seen… and so talented... too bad what happened to her at such a young age…

Is there an annual IE award for most random "Random Thought?" If so, this is my nominee. If not, I suggest that one be added.

I'd add a pic or two, but look her up for your own damn self!

Name and location of the school. There was an attempt, as I understand it, via social media to claim that a school initiated a gay and lesbian appreciation day. That would be akin to a "n-word" appreciation day in the sixties or seventies. This is how chickenshiit assholes work it by the way. This thing has just blossomed over the internet. Everybody is imitating it, which shows me exactly how many people would be narrow minded bigots if they weren't too afraid. I believe what you say because I have a very good understanding that you are an honorable man, but I have to ask, do you have an official notice of this on school letterhead? Or is it possible that someone is pulling the wool over your eyes?

If you have such an announcement, please post it. I would like to see it. Because in the Toledo area, most schools have gotten away from "officially" encouraging their students from wearing Ohio State and Michigan colors before the "big game." About three or four years ago, and I think it was mentioned on this site, a student was sent home for wearing ND colors and a jersey, instead of Ohio State and Michigan. Yes that became an issue. If that is enough to dissuade an idiotic administration, what you suggest would cause immediate death and destruction!

I want to make it clear that any administration that did such a thing should be fired and blackballed from ever being involved in any capacity with children again. Just for the reasons you stated; this has nothing to do with politics. Intelligent people at all ends of the political spectrum should see and agree that we should do nothing to make kids feel more uncomfortable during their adolescent years that they have to already face, daily.

They also wore a patch in the shape of a football on their cute little butts that said, "I'm Behind The Irish". I know, because I have one at home.

I would hope that you have an interesting story about how you acquired that patch.

Why do announcers only use the last name of players, except when the player has two last names, then the announcer feels compelled to use the first and last name of the player.

Probably for the same reason bad guy assassins have three names.

Good thing I have no middle name. Hell, I didn't even have a first name until a month after I was born. When it was reasonably assured that my twin sister and I would survive the "Baby A and Baby B" were replaced on our birth certificates. My folks were exhausted and dispensed with middle names.

IE is a richer place for my survival ...
