Last Wednesday I got bit on the right arm by a spider. It hurt and I felt a little sick, but figured both would eventually go away. As of yesterday morning it was swollen and a red streak appeared running from the bite up to my arm pit.

I headed to the urgent care clinic because it was a Sunday. The Doctor thinks it was a Black Widow and the bite is infected, probably from me scratching it.

I got a shot and some antibiotics, so I feel pretty good now.

I just have this strange urge to go catch some criminals and some flies.

The number one misdiagnoses for spider bites is MRSA and vice versa...

Make certain the provider screens it as a MRSA colony.

I got me a nice little scar in the center of my chest from a MRSA infection.

I don't believe you have flesh eating bacteria established.

The good news is MRSA probably out competes Strep A or one of the other flesh eaters.

The bad news is its tough to get rid of, and it's highly contagious.

It's all good my man.

The doctor will never admit he misdiagnosed the condition: if it's MRSA, it will have colonized after the bite as a secondary infection.

But definitely ask about it.

It's running rampant these days.
