Aaron Lynch's Mom's handle was "I Am Truly Blessed." ... great Lady.

And she went so far as to pleading with Justin Tuck to come back to campus to talk Aaron out of leaving.
A mistake as old as time…a parent caring for something for than their child. Never ends well.

Good Gawd what an erroneous take. No sense at all of what Mrs. Lynch was like.
You misinterpreted that take. She was a loving mom who wanted the best for her kid. The kid didn’t want it. As much as we all liked & admired her as a loving mother…her son opted for what he thought was best for him. She got him as far as one year at ND which is more than I expected. Hope she’s doing well.

Mrs Lynch was looking after him as any loving parent would. She knew that he short-sightedly wanted to leave Notre Dame for a much lesser school (and degree) for a high school girlfriend. She pleaded for him to value the larger view. (He could still date the girl anyway.) She DID NOT OVER PUSH this. The two of them remained a loving family. WHERE in this is she "caring for something more than her child"? Where in fact even is the "never ends well"? What a crap take, so "BOO" on you as well. --- but please try to excuse yourself.

Mrs Lynch disagreed with her immature son's groin-driven choice and did so very reasonably and lovingly. Neither of them stopped loving one another. (She continued to correspond with IE for a while afterwards, so we know that.)

Mike you have to settle down my man, all he is trying to say is she cared more about Aaron being at ND more than he cared about being at ND.

Fine. He didn't write it anywhere near that way. So, I, who very much liked Mrs Lynch, am defending her.

Maybe "understanding" goes both ways.

P.S. I wonder if folks remember how really poor she was trying to raise Aaron alone. She said once that when prom night came, she couldn't afford to buy him a presentable pair of shoes (no "NIL" back then) so he had to go to prom "in his slides."

was it true some ND booster paid for Lynch's sister to get into some expensive boarding school?

Man, I've been away from here for a minute, and it was fun rereading this thread! I joined in September 2004. Svoboda was my fraternity brother at Indiana State, so I joined when he started it. Followed him to Gold Helmet, and honestly, spaced this place after Gold Helmet sold. Facebook friends with a few guys who reminded me of this place, and I'll be back to posting again soon!

First post refers to me in a list of the ‘old days’ and the post is from 2011,… good lord
You, Svo, Irishnd31, Jigga, MclSpinner, Bill, LMI Marv, Southbend62, Stoney (R.I.p.), Jersey, Scoop, Tommy. Oh man! It was Polish who took it over from Boda, and it just faded. Nothing Arthur did, it just lost its legs. Glad to be back here!

Forums and subforums were set up so people could go the appropriate place section for the content that interested them rather than having to read through hundreds of posts on a running board. Some other boards lump all the posts together. This one didn't. Part of the brand.

The Recruiting Profiles were set up as a place you could get up to date info on that specific recruit. Discussions on depth charts, other schools recruiting practices, coaches, etc were sent to other appropriate forums. It was noted that these young men would represent Notre Dame on the field and to post responsibly and respectfully.
I've tried to read stuff on other teams message boards and this is always the biggest PIA. Just one big crap dump of continuously new threads. Never can find anything you are looking for. Always makes me appreciate the layout of this place.
