Definitely, the two are hanging around in the wild card race in the largely pathetic AL.

As a fan, I'd honestly be okay if the Tigers traded Skubal. Unless you're confident that you would have a legitimate shot at signing him long term (doubtful that Illitch would be interested in outbidding LA or NYY) - take the return with a few hitting prospects, maybe an MLB ready bullpen arm if you can. Sure there will be quite a bidding war for a half season of his services for a contender.

The young staff is pitching incredible, with Mize and Melton leading the way, and they should get Jobe and Reese Olson back next year.
