Rage just announced their tour dates:

March 30th at Cardinals Stadium for me. I foolishly passed on Tool's shows recently. Will not make that mistake again. Sucks that Camp will get to see it before me on opening night in UTEP's gym.

Going a week and a half later to see Pearl Jam in the same spot.

Who's got concert plans?

Rage is surprisingly coming to South Dakota. Would go but I'll be in Ireland

First concert ever was Aerosmith in 94 at the old starwood. Collective Soul opened for them

Seen a lot of shows at Starwood Amphitheater as well as Municipal downtown. Back when WKDF was rock and led the charge to get some good acts in. The Exit/In was a good place to catch some up and comers as well.

I've never been a metal fan, but I saw Sammy WAY back in the day at my very first concert. Summer of '75, Montrose was the #2 act on the bill before Skynyrd at the old Rickwood Field in B'ham. Sammy was Montrose's singer in those days and they tore it up!

Montrose was pure gold. Never saw them live however.

Went to Y&T last week in Dallas at Gas Monkey.

Not the most well known hard rock band, but they put on a hell of a show for two hours. I thoroughly enjoyed it and my ears are still ringing.

Great band! Mean Streak is my favorite from Y&T.

Leonard Haze was an incredible drummer.

Saw Queensryche back in '85 and while I wasn't a fan of their music they were damn fine musicians. Saw pretty much everyone else you mentioned as well back in the day. I love Dokken and thought Lynch was one terrific guitar player. Throw in some Traci Guns with LA Guns, some Shotgun Messiah, and some Sammy pre-Van Halen and I am there. Good times and good music even if it wasn't critically acclaimed.

I was taking drum lessons years ago at the Mars Music store in Orange. George Lynch came in to the store to do a demo for Line 6. Pretty amazing being only a few feet away from him and watching him do his thing. Definitely mind blowing.

LA Guns was one I forgot and left off my list of bands I saw back in the day.
