Found Lynch's postgame interview hilarious. I am starting to enjoy some of the Seahawk antics when it comes to the media (Richard Sherman interview). Wanted to see what you guys think?

I think it's pretty funny. He just doesn't like dealing with the media, I honestly don't get why they even bother with him. He's not going to give them some earth-shattering quote. The media should just spend their time with other Seattle players who are more open.

The media people who get butthurt about this are the worst too. His job is to play football, its not to answer questions if he doesn't want to do so.

That was great. You can't coach those responses...that's just god given talent right there.

Actually, it's in the NFL Media Policy and is a guideline in the code of conduct all players sign. So technically, it is his job to talk to media.

He was telling them they spelled good.

In all seriousness, he's funny as hell. Unprofessional, but funny.

Still my favorite Marshawn moment:

So do you think the NFL should change their media policy? I think it would be more valuable to the media and the NFL if they would have the team provide 5 players to speak with after the game instead of whoever the media wanted. Thoughts? It should be the players job to play football, if they wanted to go into talking to the media they could choose a path in the broadcasting field I would think!

Never seen that video before today and all I can say is thanks for sharing. Also I enjoy it when Lynch scores a TD and shakes all his teammates hands before going to the sideline.

No, I think the NFL has the right to say what the players job should be, not ours, and not the players. The NFL is a private company that can choose to put whatever media demands they want on the players voluntarily signing the code of conduct in order to play. They have the right to provide the media with their predetermined amount of exposure to their product. Especially when the players involved are contractually obligated to do so.

Marshawn can act like a baffoon because he doesn't like talking to media, but that doesn't change the fact that he voluntarily agreed to do so. Maybe he should quit acting like a baby about the NFL enforcing their arrangement and be a professional. He plays a game for millions of dollars for heavens sakes. The least he can do is honor his commitment to the league that provides him his fruitful profession.

I think its kind of ignorant, myself. I didn't see the whole post-game media blitz, but why would it be so hard to give a few words for an answer. Or even one word:
"Was there ever a chance you wouldn't play in the game?"
"nope".

See, not that hard.

Then I had this idea that one of my kids might see this and think it funny to emulate him. I'd be like:
"Did you clean your room?"
And they'd say, "Thanks for axing."
And then I'd be like

No matter what he says, they're not gonna like it, so might as well have fun with it.

I understand where your coming from but it is hard for me to side with you on this because of how the media twists everything for their benefit. Was he unprofessional yes but he was also in my eyes entertaining which is what he is paid to do. I know they make millions of dollars but if all of us had the athleticism and opportunity to play the game and get paid the way they are would we want people in our face all the time? Just some things that I consider when I see things like this. I hope he keeps it up, more entertainment for me.

I don't think so. There is no reason that he couldn't just answer the questions and be a professional. He agreed to do just that, the NFL has every legal right to punish him for not doing it. I think they should, especially considering that this isn't his first offense.

Well, like I said, I didn't get to see the whole thing. What was it about the possible answers to that question that they wouldn't like? I guess I don't understand.

I think there are better things the NFL should be worrying about then Lynch's postgame interviews.

I don't care if the media are being complete aholes and trying to do everything in their power to make the player look bad. If that is the case, answer all of their questions with a polite "yes" or "no". THEY AGREED TO DO JUST THAT BY SIGNING THE CODE OF CONDUCT.

If your kids are trying to emulate Lynch then you need to provide them with better role models.

So if he would of just said yes or no to all the questions asked to him would you still be mad? He was polite and thanked the media for asking him questions.

What was the point of asking us what we think if you are going to insult someone like this for simply answering your question?

Sorry not everyone enjoys your penchant for unprofessional behavior.

No, I think that would be the professional thing to do.

With the last sentence, I suppose you don't actually want anyone's opinion on this?

It was a joke. I figured I didn't need italics. My kids actually don't even like football. Maybe I should slap them for that.

I'm sorry that you are getting so upset about a friendly chat. Am I not allowed to express my opinion or should I just let you say yours and have no response. I'm not being harsh I'm just expressing my views and trying to understand where your coming from that's all, didn't mean to throw a wrench in your gears!

I couldn't care less about your feelings on Marshawn Lynch, but I find it silly that you made a thread about it, asking for opinion, only to insult TN when he politely gave you his. There was no reason for that.

Don't ask questions that you don't want the answers to.

I see why you "are starting to like the Seahawk antics". It seems to be your MO too.

If you could care less then why did you bother to read my post?

I did issue an apology to TN if I may have offended him

Have a nice day Wooly!

What I'm saying is that its Marshawn, he's not going to give more than "Yes", or "No".

If he acts like a smart ass and gives funny responses, they actually have more to report on than "No."

I'm trying to embed the tweet that shows the transcript of the whole interview but I'm having no luck. I'll keep trying!

Listen, you asked for the opinions, not the other way around.

Cool thread, dude.
