I was in the refreshment line at halftime with a recruit and his family. His name was Everett Golsen from South Carolina. They were very nice but were freezing in the rain and cold. The dad said the young man was still quarterbacking his high school team in the playoffs ( won Friday nite ) and was eager to get basketball going where he was and all state point guard. He said that North Carolina promised the boy he could play both sports in college ( sure Butch. tell them anything) . I do not think there is any chance at him going to ND. The family was just too damn cold !!

This was an official visit for him. And yes, there's a very good chance he ends up at ND.

I saw Savon Huggins at the game on Sat. I have a family friend who is an usher at ND stadium and happened to be in the section (31) right next to where all the recruits were at for the game. We were asking him if there were any big names there Sat and Huggins was the first one he said. Our usher friend ended up letting us sit down by him (second row between recruits and student section...yea!) and I saw Huggins later in the game...he had an ND stocking cap on. Looked to be having a good time. I wanted to say something so bad to him, but i never did. Don't know if he was the "surprise visit" but thought i would share.

Last I checked we had a pretty legit basketball team that plays in the deepest basketball conference in the country.

I saw two kids with dark green jackets and another kid with a maroon jacket on. Dont know if that helps.

I know the two kids were from Dublin jerome and were on unofficials. Nothing to get excited about.

Just wait, it will come out that he was there. I may not post much on here but in no way am I a troll. The only way that it was not Huggins is if my usher friend was mistaken on the name AND Savon's twin happened to be at the game....which I'm pretty sure he doesn't have one. I follow recruiting fairly well and it sure did look just like him. We'll see. Maybe ur person on ISD doesn't have ALL the facts in the world, just sayin!

It's funny though...thought for sure he was there, now u guys r making me doubt myself. I was literally in the same section as all the recruits. Same row as Martin...didn't know it was him at the time but it had to be as he was the only really big white dude there. Wont stand down till i hear he wasn't there though, Savon that is.

Looks like this was Nick Martin, which is hardly a huge deal. If he wants to come play with his brother he will. If not, we need another OL.

Any thoughts on Albert Louis-Jean?? Word is he is questioning his commitment to Miami now that they are struggling. I know we were on the top of his list...any chances?

If he takes an official then it's possible. Miami recruits are questioning Randy Shannon's future with the program. This is a long shot but poaching is part of the game and we need to get in on it. This kid would be a huge get.
