A couple sites are reporting an unexpected visitor showed up to the Utah game. No word on who it is yet but names being thrown around are Ishaq Williams, Troy Niklas, Christian French, Nick Martin and Amir Carlisle.

I say it's Ishaq but we will see

Hopefully it was Ishaq, either way there all good players. It seemed like the atmosphere during the game and after was incredible yesterday. I'm sure it will help us with the guys that visited.

I think it was Justin Trattou and Omar Hunter judging by the way Florida's Defense played.

Didn't Trattou tackle his own teammate. Hey, Trattou how does it feel to ride the pine until your senior season and the team itself is awful. Oh well at least you get to flaunt your NC title ring for being on the scout team.

I have heard Austin Blythe or Jordan Walsh

It is supposedly a guy that is on Rivals master list for ND recruiting at the moment, that isn't committed anywhere. He was a late add to the visitors list. Still no announcement from the rivals guys and they pulled the thread so who knows.

Brennen Scarlett a SDE from Oregon was there. He's a #6 Rivals SDE, 4 star, National #101. Not sure if he's the surprise or not.

Scarlett is a known visitor, so it's not him. So far the guesses in the 4HL are Ishaq,French, N. Martin and even Bubba Starling. Staff at Rivals is keeping it quiet at this point.

I was standing by the recruits and the tour guides yesterday for the player walk to the stadium. Most of the recruits and their parents had their name tags frontside in to avoid being bugged. I wish I coulda seen more, sorry. Hopefully it was Ishaq.

Not that Ishaq wouldn't be awesome but If it was a surprise visit it means it could be good either way.

He will get to flaunt his ring in the car wash he will be working in after his college career is over.

It's not a bad rumor. There is speculation that the recruit is already committed to a university, and the websites are respecting his wishes to remain silent until he notifies the coaching staff.

I'm hoping it was Amir or Ishaq.

I'm thinking that it was probably Nick Martin who's committed to Kentucky right now.

Im thinking it was Amir Carlisle. There was a recent offer and he has always been interested in Notre Dame so that makes sense. I think it would be a nice get for Notre Dame although we seem to be pretty loaded at his position.

Be that as it may, but I think that if that player was on campus yesterday there is no way no one didn't recognize him and said anything.

Yes but several have said that it can't be French.

He is on the master list so it can only be Martin, French, Ishaq, Aldridge, Niklas or Carlisle.

so we will find out soon i assume

I saw Savon Huggins at the game on Sat. I have a family friend who is an usher at ND stadium and happened to be in the section (31) right next to where all the recruits were at for the game. We were asking him if there were any big names there Sat and Huggins was the first one he said. Our usher friend ended up letting us sit down by him (second row between recruits and student section...yea!) and I saw Huggins later in the game...he had an ND stocking cap on. Looked to be having a good time. I wanted to say something so bad to him, but i never did. Don't know if he was the "surprise visit" but thought i would share.

Hearing Martin now, but that he is saying he was only there to watch his brother.

I'll be pissed if the surprise visitor was a kid coming to watch his brother play. Granted, Martin is good, but I think this was more of an official visit-type thing. There's a reason why they're being so mum about it. The hint was that the player was on the Rivals "Master List"

Options:

Amir Carlisle
Troy Niklas
Miles Shuler
Pat Flavin
Quincy Aldridge
Wayne Lyons
Ishaq Willaims
Christian French
Nick Martin
Savon Huggins

If this is fact. That is awesome.

That seems kind of unlikely, but if true it's awesome.

Getting any of the remaining big names (French, Ishaq etc.) would be enormous right now. We really need to close out strong after the last few weeks of recruiting headaches.

Funny enough, Huggins rushed for 275 yards and 4 TDs in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday night against... Notre Dame.
