In slightly related news; I'm visiting the in-laws in Colorado, and I can't escape all the Broncos coverage. There was a great piece about Kyle McCarthy, former UND safety, and how he is doing well and pressing for playing time. Also, BQ's performance in the Broncos' recent pre-season game may very well have him running with the twos, at least according to the Denver based media outlets.

He was cut and picked up by the Lions this month.

He is vying for the 4th receiver spot with former Penn State receiver Derrick Williams, who is almost universally despised by the fanbase (drops everything). I'm pretty sure Stovall will make the roster.

Besides size, Stovall is also a very good special teams gunner.

He was one of my favorite players while I was at ND. My friends and I played basketball with him and a few other players often and honestly, he is a great guy. I like him as a WR at ND more than Samardzija too.
