How many more will we take in this class? Feel like there will be quite a few slots open from that list.

I thought NaNa was at WDE?

Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

They’re all supposed to be LTs, and end up RTs,
...RTs, and end OGs
....DEs and end up DTs
....WDEs end up SDEs or TEs
....Safeties, and end up LBs
....CBs and end up safeties

You know the drill.

The easiest way to sound like you know something about recruiting is saying, “if he’s really [listed height]”—which, btw, he definitely is not—“I think he projects better at [next position down on the speed chart].”

Ehrensberger - you think he goes directly to SDE while in the 230s? I know 247 had him listed as a SDE but though he might get a look at WDE first.

Liafau - Thought he was WILL? (listed as WDE)

I don’t think the big German will play until he is a lot bigger.

I’m hoping Liafau has a growth spurt and solves the WDE issue!

You could probably put an asterisk next to Crawford and Gilman's name too for *Probably* being back in the spring, right?

Gilman was rated pretty high on PFF and according to WalterFootball's latest rankings would be projected round 4-6. WOnder if he comes back for his final season in an attempt to move up, but how much could he really moved up based on size and athleticism?

I think Crawford is a lean to come back but until I hear it I won't allow myself to get my hopes up. That is the position group I'm the most worried about.

if he would have repeated his prior year performance he is getting drafted higher IMO. I think a good season could at least get him into the 3rd round. But your're right, his size and athleticism isnt changing.

I think it's important to remember that for Crawford to come back, he has to apply with the NCAA for a 6th year. He can't just show up next year without going through some sort of process with the NCAA.

CB could be ROUGH if someone doesn't step up, but every thing else looks pretty good!

I hate how we take years off at DB recruiting and then overload.

Last I heard this was Crawford's last year? Wasn't going to pursue a future in football anymore. Could be mistaken.

It's going to be interesting to follow the big German. I could see almost anything at this point. Might be a do-almost-nothing project for 4-5 years, or end up being a freak of nature Euro terror. Total wild card. Will be interesting regardless and I'll lose my shit if they ever start playing the Ramones in the stadium because he's killing it lol.

I feel like 2020 is a high potential year. We have Kmet coming back. We could have Book back. We bring in the fastest recruit in the country at RB (not much proven, I know) and we bring back a boat load of talent across every other position. That def back 4 could come back for a run and I absolutely think we could do it. Wiscy and Clemson are tough outs but man, I think we can do it!

I am not your average homer by any means but next year feels right if we get the right people back. IMO, Kmet was that first spot. Book would be the next followed by Alohi.

If anyone is eligible for a 6th year it's Crawford. The rule was basically made for him. 3 season ending injuries, 2 in the beginning of the season. He's a lock for approval.

Everything outside of corner looks solid.

And as stated it's not looking like it's going to get any better with what's coming to campus.

What love to be wrong but we look like a big 12 defense in the perimeter

Yeah you would almost think that Lea may play a lot of zone. I think Bracy is good but he is gonna get beat bad by every WR that is at least 6'2 with at least 35 inch vertical. Everyone else is relatively untested. I think Cam Hart has potential. His Safety film from Good counsel is actually pretty good, BUT again that was Safety. I think there was a lot of good reports coming out about KJ as well, but I can't remember off hand when they were. May have been spring ball.

From a secondary standpoint, it may be best to let Houston Griffith play field corner (which is where he played in HS) and start Pryor and Hamilton at Safety. Tariq/KJ can be the boundary corner.

Could anyone see Ekwonu making a push for PT next year? Lots of options at LB, but that dude is built, and unless he wants to wait till his fourth year to get real minutes, he's gonna have to pass some people eventually.

Spring will be huge. With Lamb hurt and Simon hurt for spring some youngsters will get plenty of looks
