Spring 2012 Fact or Fiction

Really bored today. Thought this may get things going.

Fact or Fiction: We will know who the starting QB will be against Navy at the conclusion of spring ball.

Fiction: We will realistically know, but it won't ever be confirmed. Still, despite most people knowing through reason and logical reasoning, there will be "What if it IS REES?!" threads until the first game.

Fact: I think Kelly will announce the starter before they even get on the plane to Ireland.

Fact or Fiction: We will have at least one true freshman starting on each side of the ball come first game of the season.

Fiction: I don't see anyone starting on the offensive side and Tee has a chance on defense. although, i see several getting early reps.

Fact or Fiction: GA3 will be RB at the conclusion of spring ball.

Fiction: Tee Shepard will be the only freshmen defensive starter but wont lock down the starting cornerback slot untill week 3.

Fact or Fiction: Davonte Neal scores a touchdown in 2 or more ways ( rec, ret, rush, etc)

Fact:I won't get a lot of support for this,but I'm going to go out on a small limb and say Kiel wins the job and starts in Ireland and never looks back.I think he is our offensive version of Lynch from last season,where he was able to come in early,learn quickly and excel.

Fact: With the addition of Neal we don't need GA3 to play the slot position. He would probably be a #3 slot receiver behind Toma and Neal. His athleticism is too great to bury that deep.

tricky one, but i'm going to say fact. he will benefit from the attention given to lynch on the edge.

Fact or Fiction: Zeke Motta will be beaten out as a starter after the conclusion of the spring.

I would guess fact. I think BK will announce the starter before the trip because one of our four QB's will probably be sitting in South Bend butt hurt with the practice squad.

Definitely will be announced before leaving for Ireland, but the question asks if a starter will be named at the end of spring, and I'm not so sure about that one.
