I was going to bet on the Cuse game this weekend. One question though, on the whole max bet issue that screwed things up. Is a "max bet" betting all your vbucks, or is it a ceiling imposed by the software?

There's a ceiling in the software. I'm not sure if one single max bet is enough to kick it into failure or if it's a max payout deal

Do we know what the max is? It’s a recent development so one of the consistent bettors must of just hit it. What if we opened multiple books for the ND games and other major events? I feel like that could be a bit over kill but it’s a suggestion.

Ill look back at some of the abandoned events to find the amount. But I just want to repeat that I don't know if one single max bet is enough to cause the failure. Usually when we've had to abandon we've seen multiple max/large bets. So it could be a total amount that triggers it.

Based on the tone earlier in the UNC thread, sounded like it was a known issue, and folks were deliberately f'ing things up.

It's typically the same people. Have they been personally warned I'm not sure but this isn't first time there bets have caused this. Can they put 2 and 2 together? I'm not sure.

I do not know of a way to limit.

In the near future... after the site is stabilized and no longer a steaming pile of turds... we are going to look into adding vBucks back but in a way that is more meaningful so people don't just run around with quintillions of vBucks. Things like getting vBucks for posts and likes, and maybe some contests to redeem them. Still in its formative stages though, right now we're focused on triage.
