Just watching the closing moments of the game. They have certainly been able to run at will this second half against Arizona it seems. We're going to have to play well on defense the next few weeks for us to keep improving. One thing though, Barkley hasn't looked all that well tonight, but then again, he hasn't impressed all season long.

USC's defense is improving, IMO. Not to mention their offense is loaded and freshman Robert Woods is a complete stud muffin.

If we could get Riddick back by then, it would be huge. It would take the pressure off of Michael Floyd and, by extension, Tommy Rees. USC has struggled against the spread and having a good slot receiver in Riddick would do wonders for us.

the announcer during the game said that USC on traveled with 52 players due to injuries, and defects. They are really line on the oline and several players along that front limped off. If we play the way we did today I like our chances.

If we show up and play good defense, we always have a chance to win. Though SC is a much more talented football team then Utah, some guys are starting to step up on our team. It will a good match-up for us.

Just a note: Is it me or SC has scheduled 13 games to compensate for the bowl game? This shouldn't be allowed, but oh well.

I think we will have to play better then we did this weekend. Will we be facing a much more powerful offense. But we need to worry about army first then we can worry about USC.

211-332 for 2,518 yards and a 25 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. I would say thats pretty impressive. If this years USC team had the record of the USC team just a few short years ago, Matt Barkey would be right in the middle of the Heisman race. He and Robert Woods have been monsters this year and they are the only reason they have won the games they have. They have had to outscore almost every opponent because of how bad their defense is.

They were explaining last night during the game that since USC traveled out to Hawaii to play, they are allowed an extra game. They didn't really explain beyond that.

I'm pretty sure that I recall something about teams being allowed to schedule an extra game, if they go to Hawaii to play. I'm not positive about that, but I'm pretty sure that I read that somewhere.

Incredibly tempted to get tickets and just make the 1000 mile, 35 hour drive from Indy. (since its thanksgiving weekend all the flights would be booked)

I'm having that issue. I have tickets but no way to get out. When I was in school it was easy because you got more of a break around Thanksgiving.

I'll be there and will be proudly sporting my #3 Irish Jersey in South Central. I was really worried that we were going to get blown out the way we were playing, but after yesterday's game, I now believe that this will be a close game. I am fairly certain that we'll be able to contain their running game, it's Barkley and their stellar group of wideouts (Woods and Johnson) that scare me most. If we can get pressure on Barkley, he will throw picks and we can win. If we don't get pressure on him, it will be a LONG day.

the best thing for us right now is a chance for our guys to stop the streak of 8 wins for usc and to show the world we are climbing back to the top again.. army option our chance for redemption usc our chance to break the streak and to start ours.. then a bowl and win it also i will always believe in our football team i'm saying it's on their shoulders to bring a few national championships back to the dome!!
