His career stats are 4 tds and 4 INT’s. I’ve said this before and it rang true before today. Book might be more accurate but also throws more picks, per att’s. Book 4 for 75 and Wimbush was 7 for 302. It’s not even close. Today would be an anomaly from that perspective

Oh my bad. You're correct on the ratio. I agree on the other points obviously. Maybe Book comes in and is this ultra "safe" and "consistent" QB that we've been told he is. But his passing stats thus far and what I've seen of him doesn't suggest that.

To be fair to Book it is harder to judge him as he has practiced significantly less with the first team offense. Things liking timing, knowing how much to lead a given WR, and him and the receivers being on the same page when a play breaks down are all things that are developed with practice.

Book might not be better than Wimbush but he is at a significant disadvantage in comparison to Wimbush due to lack of practice time with the first team.

Hence, why my reservations on benching Wimbush. It’s not a given we have an elite game manager in Book. Which it seems, it’s assumed he is.

Right? People seem to think Book is a stronger-armed Tommy Rees. He isn't. Or at least we've no particular reason to believe he is. And we've seen him throw some bad picks in limited action, without the running threat that Wimbush brings.

It feels like the thing to do is take the handcuffs off Wimbush, let him run, and hope he doesn't get hurt. When he's on, he's excellent. He showed that in flashes even today. If he does get hurt, we have a capable backup in Book.

We did take the handcuffs off against UM, hence the success we had against an elite defense. All parties invlolved have said that didn’t happen today but we all know that isn’t true. This was a spring game, gameplan. That’s not his game. We need to go all in on a gameplan for Wimbush with Book as the reliever if needed for injury.

Note, everyone is saying we only had a good 2 Qtr. Versus UM. We should’ve had another TD against them that was called back. That’s 4 td’s in 3 Qtrs, exceptional production for 3 qtrs considering who we were playing.

It was a bad gameplan with bad Ol performance. That mattered more today.

It’s a 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 game today. Poor play by everyone on offense not QB, poor play by QB, and poor gameplan.
