There’s a disconnect for me here. How are their fundamental issues in man coverage? They have the same DB coach and a majority of the secondary is the same as last year.

None of it adds up.

To state the obvious, I wouldn't obsess over the line. We have to win out to have a chance of making the playoff, never mind the line. And of course we were favored against both Miami and A&M.

If the defense plays passably well we probably win.

Im on Fanduel now, Arkansas is +4.5 at -112. It’s all 4s and 4.5s out there.

Real money doesn’t hit CFB till Thursday.

Again, I ask a dumb question. Does "Vegas" really have insiders in every program to know things like Moore being out or not?

Nowadays I don’t think it’s that way as injury reports become standard like the NFL. I’m sure there’s some crazy stories how they got info in the past

There will always be the drunk college crowd on Dickson Street but generally fans have pretty low expectations/apathy for football right now and tickets to this game aren’t as hot as they were a few weeks ago so I don’t see it being too bad. Might be different if this was Texas or LSU but we don’t have any real animosity or history with Notre Dame. The violent part of our fanbase usually seems to come out at Little Rock games.
Thanks WPS. I think the Little Rock comment is less about your fanbase & more about the “locals” who want to start some trouble. Usually they stay on the golf course where the tailgating is & don’t even possess tickets. Don’t blame y’all for not wanting a LR game. Great history there & yall seem to always win big games there but no one wants to watch FCS tomato cans & if Arkansas coaches can’t recruit, it’s just a lose/lose.

I think it’s more about Chris Ash & the D. We can all correctly call out Arkansas as a bad team but ND’s D is so bad that Arkansas should put up 30-40 pts. Even Jamie U noted that this Arkansas offense would put a some points on last season’s ND defense. Irish would still win comfortably last year but Hogs would score.

Remember what all the “experts” were claiming going into aTm? Pressure Marcel Reed & he will throw you the ball*. Well, ND didn’t pressure him & despite his inefficiency, he torched ND. So fast forward to this week & all you have to do is see how a horrible Purdue team put up 300+ passing yards b/c once again…ND refused to pressure the QB. That’s the trend so doesn’t take much insight to know that this ND defense is going to miraculously turn into last season’s D.

*same goes for Taylen Green. He threw two picks vs Memphis but ND either refuses to or cannot bring pressure.

I’m coming in for the game on Thursday. Where is there a good tailgating spot, preferably in walking distance to the stadium? Thanks in advance.

I think the line movement has to do with some of the modeling that really starts to get the first edition published around this time of the season. The models themselves have pretty big disclaimers saying “there’s not enough data points to really trust this model yet” but right now I’ve seen some of the models having Arkansas winning

Golf course? Is that where most tailgate, or is there another area? Hoping to get in some quality tailgating.

I was speaking to Little Rock, not Fayetteville where there home games are played. Haven’t been to FayetteNam in a long time but always told the tailgating is wonky due to the terrain. Hopefully WPS can respond to your request. Safe travels.

Houston, we have a problem...

ND defense: #100
Those numbers are inflated by some of those teams feasting on FBS opponents. Quit being a punk and have some confidence in your team. Coming on here and saying "Oh jeez the defense sux" is not original or constructive going forward.

I personally have seen enough flashes to think that the issues can be resolved over the course of the season. It's a matter of the coaches and players actually making it happen. If it doesn't transpire, the rash firings everyone is calling for will materialize.

It's also a matter of the coaches and players avoiding more losses while they are in the process of resolving the defensive issues.

Odds are extremely high that Arkansas will fire Pittman sooner rather than later. It won’t be after ND game b/c I believe if he has a losing record in conference play, they don’t have to pay out as much. They’ve only played one SEC game so it may be a few more weeks.

Listening to Trey Biddy who covers Arkansas for 247, they expect one of two outcomes. Arkansas mails it in after the demoralizing loss last week to Memphis & ND wins comfortably OR Petrino & the offense trade scores w/ ND and whoever gets ball last wins.

I hate Horka. What is Pittman supposed to say
My team sucks. Not even sure why we are playing this game”
Isn't that typically what the great coaches say publicly (with a few different words)?

Arkansas has a similar offense to A&M with a little less speed at WR/QB. I expect a similar game plan as A&M where Arkansas spreads it out and try's to get WRs running open all over sprinkling in the qb read option game.

I don’t take any of those guys seriously enough to hate them but I see your point. Down here, all the Hog pods & message boards are just wondering when the other shoe will drop. They’re expecting his firing, just not set on when.

If anybody has decent receivers then they are going to spread us out and go to work. If Moore is out we will get absolutely lit up.
