Not trying to be a smart *** but if this team isn't giving everyone they play their best maybe a lot of changes need to be made.

It's not the point. Not only you're playing tough competition, but you're playing them at their best. It's why it's so hard to go back to back championships. Every one has you on your schedule. The hate on ND runs that deep. You want to see softies, watch ND games before Kelly arrived. Just saying.

Golson is in the backfield today, we probably win the game. Guys played hard. We were playing Oklahoma for crying out loud.

Can we ban this moron? They're still selling seats on the 'Bama bandwagon why don't you jump on...or better yet in front of it.

Lol because I don't think Kelly is getting the job done so far this season and saying so means I should be banned?

I've lasted through some terrible coaches in nd history. I'll stick around. Thanks though.

You haven't really listed your problems with him. Granted, I've only looked at the last two pages but what are they?

Golson in the backfield it is a much better game for the offense but our defense still isn't good.

Rees is the difference in this one. He helped put us in a hole big time. I think the problem is the offense has run and gun personnel and is designed to function that way but, it also has someone who doesn't do much of either running it. As to the D, the potential is there. Too many greenhorns in key positions giving up big plays.

I thought they were put in very difficult situations. That long play in the 4th quarter hurt, but overall they made some key stops. We missed few tackles out there, but I thought they improved from last week, and the week before. This offense(OK) was much better than the Michigan State one.

Is there a disconnect with Rees and DD? I've noticed a few times they weren't on the same page today, and last week DD looked like he was playing for a flag as much as a reception at times. For as good as he can play, he just seems a bit down.

I'm definitely in the "Rees in our best option" camp, but you would have to be blind to say that this game wouldn't have been COMPLETELY different with Golson at the helm. We likely would not have dug ourselves into a 14-0 hole within 3 minutes, thus the running game (which was largely dominant) would have been able to grind OU down for much more than it already did. Golson would have kept a couple plays alive - especially on 3rd and medium downs. It sucks that Rees is our best option, but he is. Onto ASU.

The real problem is below the surface of a single player. WE DON'T START PLAYING REAL FOOTBALL UNTIL THE SECOND HALF.

Been that way for a few years now.

I think we all agree with this ! I'm blaming that "here come the Irish" old man song they start the game with!

Kelly is not the problem. Like he said, except for those two INTs, the team played relatively well. Take away those INTs, it would have been 21-21 and game could have gone either way. Not saying ND would have won, but would have been much more competitive than a 14 point blow out like this. We have a huge problem in the QB position. Sorry I was never fan of Reese. This year he came back and he said that sitting out for a year was great for him because he got to see the game being played from the sidelines. So I thought maybe he did get better and learned a lot more about the game. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. Turns out, he hasn't really changed much from his old style.

Serious? There was a reason Rees had to relieve Golson so many times last year. Golson hasn't seen the field since then because of his own mistake. No way you can say that. You have no clue what he would have looked like this year. And don't use the another year experience bullshit.

How is the reason "another year of experience" bs?? It's true.

He had to relieve him because he was a freshman QB. Down the stretch he started to come into his own. He would have done very well this year. There was no indication to suggest other wise.

Golson makes this offense so much better and you could see it today. If no one is open Rees would force it (INTs) or way overthrow it. He is NEVER a threat to run. With Golson if he sees nothing open he can move out of the pocket and give WRs more time to get open or take off with it. Snowball effect creates first downs, moves the field, gives time for defense to rest up, more possibility to put points on the board.

Disappointed that we lost, but embarrassed and enraged over the players (about half if not more of the team) that left the stadium before the alma mater. Have some class. Act like you play for Notre Dame. So incredibly mad right now.

So who do you want Ty Willingham? Charlie Weis? George O'Leary? All the other top name guys are NOT coming here. Kelly is the best thing this university has seen since Holtz which was 1996. That is almost 20 years.

I often wonder what people really want out of these teams. They try and they try their hardest but at the end of the day if the other team is better they will lose. No team has won every game from the beginning of time.

FACT: The University of Notre Dame will lose games. Notre Dame will have players that are not NFL caliber players. All we can do as fans is cheer and put hope on OUR team.

I hate and I mean absolutely hate to see our team lose but it will happen at least once a year more often than not. Get use to it. Oklahoma is a good team and so is Michigan. They are not Tulsa, Navy, or Syracuse.

There has been a disconnect with everyone the last two weeks. It sucks because we have a top 5 receiver corps

A number of players skipped the alma mater and walked straight into tunnel.

Lou, Davaris, and TJ among them.

Pretty **** poor showing, regardless of how they played/the outcome.

Tuitt played good, maybe his best game of the year. Jaylon played good, noticed he was at the right spot often. Folston had a great run. TJ is becoming Mr. Reliable. GA III can be a beast if he wants it. Ran with so much more conviction today. Still would like to see his pads lower at times.

Schwenke held his own on the run well. Smith, Folston, Niklas. Shumate looked pretty good at times coming up against the run. LT Martin played well after spotting 7 to the other team.
