And to everyone who thinks BK isn't the right guy, who do you all suggest we hire. Apparently an Irish Catholic from outside of Boston, who has won at every level, has recruited a top ten class, and according to Jack Swarbrick understands ND more than many of it's graduates does not meet youre needs, where should we be looking?

Saw this on twitter and felt bad for turk.

@uhnd: Is it bad that Pitt's QB is a better punter than Notre Dame's punter?

Turks response: yea he has a great leg, thanks for the support

Rees is a winner. I'll take someone who is a turnover machine but wins us games over a guy who puts up stats and loses us games. Winning is all that matters. Rees doesn't do it the way we would all like him too, or as confidently as we would like him to, but he wins. And as long as he keeps winning, he keeps starting.

Even the best teams in the country have to endure bad performances. We won this game by .5 less than the vegas spread. And, again, we won.

I'm not satisfied. But, we won. That's new.

And if this were the exception to the rule (regarding performance) this year, I wouldn't be sweating it either. However, the truth is that there is some serious underlying issue here that we have been fortunate enough to get past two teams so far. We're lucky to be at .500 this year. We have .900 talent and a .500 record. Clearly something isn't right.

We need to support our players. If it is who Kelly is playing it is for a reason and we should as a fan base need to support and not be stupid. Turk was good today

Its like being in the military or being a cop. Nothing is ever good enough! "we want more", make gold out of water", just suffer in silence.

I'd really love to see the outcome of this game had we played straight up on that 3rd and 95 yds where we roughed up the punter. i was envisioning an ND score and putting the game away. i'll take a w all day don't get me wrong.

We aren't even close to be competing for a national title.

Where did you get that from? I made no mention of anything about a national title. I said our D helped close out a game that we would have lost in the previous few years.

We don't blow that we have all the momentum. I'd go ND 24-9 if that happens

Close the books. This a win and whoever feels negatively, deel with it! PERIOD. Arm chair qb's and coaches take a seat.

Rees didn't play outstanding. However, the biggest issues today were on the OLine with penalties, not opening holes, and allowing pressure. I also think Pitt had a good defensive plan and that can't be overlooked.

What was making me nervous was all the late out throws Rees was making. Luckly Pitt D does not know how to catch or they could of had 3+ pics.

Close game. Contrats to all of you ND fans. Hopefully we can continue to grow as a team and put together some wins later in the season. The Pitt defense looked good but the offense still needs to build up some confidence.

GO PITT!

Good game Roc and I agree. I think the Pitt D played with a ton of heart this afternoon. Good luck the rest of the way.

This is crazy to read...unhappy with a win? I guess I am not that far removed from Syracuse, UConn, and every other game we lost when we had "superior" talent and lost the lead late.

Are there things to clean up...certainly. But, holy hell, this team battled for four quarters, played against a scheme that adjusted to our adjustments, and when their back was against the wall they FINISHED. Rather fix our technical mistakes after you finish with a win than with a loss.
