I love having Tommy as a backup because it allows Notre Dame to still have a capable player at quarterback at all times instead of having to deal with some of the extreme growing pains that Golson is going through right now. It gives him time to settle down and refocus himself without ND suffering on the field while he sits.

Yea, eventually Michigan's going to stop trying to lose the game. Our D's on fire, but Michigan 's O is definitely capable of putting up points, our O has to start controlling the ball a little bit.

Bigger problem would be starting EG 2nd half, and then pulling him again if there's another INT. I feel like if you start EG in the 2nd half, you have to stick with him for the rest of the game. That's where you'd hurt his psyche...getting pulled 2x in one game.

Imo, I think you just stick with Rees as he's more calm and experienced in these type of games then you work with Golson during the bye week to get him prepared for Miami.
