Hire Thomas Hammock immediately.

“Marcus. You know how Tress always liked to run to set up the pass? With your QB you need to consider running to set up the run. Go back and watch that Knute Rockne pre-forward pass game film. Live it. Abide by it. Become one with it. Then gameplan for Purdue. Good luck, see you in the natty.”

Give RL ONE series to start the 2nd half. Call all pass plays. See what he can manage. Regardless of outcome, bring in SA and run the offense as intended for AT LEAST 1.5 quarters. If Minchey sees the field, it's for a couple handoffs and victory formation at best, but let's give SA a chance to show he should be at the helm as QB1.

The whole passing game seems a little cursed. Obviously mostly it’s Leonard but so much stuff goes wrong.

I skipped last weekend thinking it would help. I was there for Syracuse, Soth Florida, Connnecticut, Northwestern, and Marshall. I said, not this time NIU.

I agree, let RL play one series, then turn it over to Steve. But think you need to let Steve run the full offense with at least a good portion of the 1s in, not just hand off. Would also be great to have the young QBs get one or 3 series

Ok. Take this as you will.

In 2012 my youngest brother who is the only confirmed Catholic of the bunch lit a candle at the grotto the day before we went and watched the home opener against…Purdue.

Last weekend after the NIU debacle he switched channels to Starz Latino Plus and lo and behold La Bamba was on. He took it as a sign and the next day he went to Ritchie Valens’ grave and paid his respects.

Coincidence?

I still think we’re in trouble when we face a formidable defense.. He is missing wide open throws again.

With that said I still can’t believe we lost to NIU..

It’s like so many said in that postgame thread… if we just ran the ball every down it would’ve been an easy win. We just run the ball on 2nd & 1 instead of throwing a pick it’s an easy win.

We lost that game the same way we lost Marshall and Stanford under Rees which was having a “too cute” game plan instead of respecting our opponent and playing to win.

Brad and Gary only give us the benefit of the doubt because we have an offensive coordinator from the SEC.

This booth is worst then watching paint dry
