I've been to many games and sat all over the stadium, the two places I have not sat at are Club/Box Seats, and Lower End Zone. I typically don't like being too low on the sidelines as you have to see over the players and you really only see half of the field well. The comfortable cushion back seats are nice though.

Lower endzone looks like it could be a pretty good view, and close to some of the action if on that end? Anyone ever sat lower end zone on either side (i'd prefer at least not right next to the band)? I'm going to a game in a few weeks and thinking about trying different areas. Vs my typical 15-30 rows up between the 20's.

Agree, but you do see holes opening, and players coming open or gaps/holes getting closed.
In the end zone I've sat 3 rows from the field and about 15 from the field. Both were pretty good IMO. Last time was against USC when Kizer hit Fuller. Right when Kizer was about to unload, I jumped and and yelled to no one in particular, "He's got him" because I could see the play develop. Cal is right about the yardage.

Ive been to a lot of games where my seat was in the south endzone, about 8 rows up. It can be awesome and also really bad.
Good- Tates leap into the MSU band happened right in front of us
Bad- the Stanford goal line stand was on the opposite side of the field

while at, what's everyone's preferred row when on the sidelines to see everything?

Also, do you prefer on the ND side or visitor side. ND side you see more behind the scenes, visitor side, you can see more how the team is reacting as they are facing you.

Well, I was sitting in the north end zone bleacher seats (on the field) at the 1973 game vs USC. Eric Penick took a hand off and ran 85 yards right to me. Met him in the end zone before being swarmed by fans. While not necessarily the best view in the house, for at least that one play it was the view of a lifetime. And, mysteriously the ball was never found...........

That play was an ESPN trailer for years.

This could either be good or bad, depending on the game.........

My friend has had season tickets since 02. Hes in row 6, about 10 seats to the right of the goal post. He for some reason likes me enough to invite me to a couple games a year. There were 2 games where I may have put him in jeopardy of losing those seats.

Sat right above the tunnel with a fellow poster here last year against OSU. Obviously didn’t get the result we had hoped for, but the seats and atmosphere were an 11/10. I loved the seats; the Flores touchdown was 30 feet in front of us.

Could you follow the game well or were you looking a Jumbotron a lot to see how far plays went?

My family's season tickets before the renovation were Section 23 Row 41, right on the south goalline west side. That is still my favorite place although I've sat all over. Last year for the USC game I was in that section in like row 17 and that's a little too low for me. Rows 30 to 45 are the sweet spot for seeing everything.

Family had season tickets in Section 10 box seats, 5th Row (E) for 25 years. You can see over the players fine from there, and personally those are my favorite seats because it's close to the action. I've told this one before, but one of the most fun games I was ever at in those seats was the 2010 Utah game. Blue hairs packed it in early that season after the poor start, nobody thought we'd beat a ranked Utah. There were some 30 something aged guys sitting in front of us that weren't normally there. The entire game they were bothering and yelling at the Utah players, but not in a mean way. When we were leading they kept calling out to Shakey Smith "Hey Shakey...WHAT'S GOING ON?!" They did this all game, they got the whole section to join in. Finally at the end of the game Shakey turned around and just shrugged with a smile, and everyone cheered. Stadium was extra loud that game, not 2005 USC loud, but you could tell our section had a lot of younger faces in it that usually weren't in the Gold seats.

I've sat all over that stadium though, and there's really no bad spot to sit...although I don't particular care for nosebleeds in an endzone. Worst game I ever saw was Navy in 2013 in the North endzone by the students. For whatever reason almost all the scores happened at the other end of the stadium that day, so we didn't get to see much...plus it was a miserable, wet kind of game. While I always have fun at games, I generally wonder if the nosebleeds are worth it. Feel like staying home you get a better view.
