If you haven't already, you may be interested in reading about intersectionality. It makes an effort to take all of what you are talking about into consideration.
I 100% agree. I grew up rough and in a rough area. Been almost shot 3 times and have seen people die on the street…. but at the end of the day I’m still white. I’ll never completely understand. I’m just saying, inner city problems are inner city problems on the whole and they affect all that live inside. Some more obviously.

No shot you just wrote this, and forgot to put a period....right?

I have terrible punctuation and likely will screw up my grammar. I'm comfortable with that. Appreciate your contribution to the dialogue.
I’m not in the business of telling others how superior I am intellectually. Besides one omission of a simple period is nothing compared to seemingly not knowing how to use possessive apostrophes. Good job though👍!

I use that tone with those that make dumb comments. Not sure I've ever engaged with you before, but thanks for throwing your hat in the ring. I can get rid of my admin assistant and bring you on if you'd like to comb through my memos to ensure the highest standards of grammar and punctuation are met. If you'd like to discuss anything in my posts feel free to comment!

I’m not in the business of name calling and looking down on others. I was half kidding about the grammar stuff. I generally disagree with your opinions on most things unrelated to football. I do appreciate your contribution to the site however.

I’m not looking for employment at this time, and I don’t think you could afford me anyway.

The Democrats want to keep printing cash and want us to pay for reparations.

Honestly if it stopped all the race baiting I’d be all for it. But when they see it didn’t work they will be forced to give everyone 100 more acres and 5 more mules.

1000% spot on. When I was in high school, I could probably make an educated guess as to the political views of 2 or 3 teachers due to their background, but not one, NOT A SINGLE ONE, ever gave any indication of their political views through anything they said or did in class. School was not about indoctrination. It was about history, English, calculus, physics, chemistry, biology, learning to write clearly, and HOW to think like an intelligent person, not WHAT to think like sheep.

Same here…..it was actually the same when I was in college, no one ever got into political views whatsoever.

24 hour news cycle + social media has ruined public discourse. Everyone thinks their political views need to be the most important thing about their personality and only believe what they see on their station.

It is indeed a double standard which probably won’t change anytime soon. Inclusive but separate? Separate but equal?

This is why they talk about equity and not equality. Equality would mean we operate under the same rules. Equity means they can do what they want to meet some arbitrary imaginary line or standard. They can do what they want to feel better about current systemic racism that nobody seems to be able to pinpoint exactly what and who is committing.

I realize this may be an unpopular take but I sincerely believe that every person over a certain age (this wouldn’t apply to small children) is racist to some degree. I think it is truly an human trait. Until we start focusing on seeing people only as people, it will not end. I can remember one of my favorite friends in 2nd grade was a black boy named David Miller. I never thought anything about him looking different from me. The first time I went to his house after school, I could sense his parents were “surprised”. Not sure why I picked up on it, they were nice to me but I could feel something. That was when I realized he and I were different in some way. I always wondered if he felt it as well.

We naturally segregate all the time. Walk into any High School cafeteria and see what kids typically sit with each other.

True.

I've told this story before, but goes to your point. Back in the mid to late 90's when diversity was becoming a hot topic and companies were looking to address it, I worked at Sallie Mae. There were about 3,000 employees at the facility I worked at. They rolled out this diversity program that required all employees to participate. This included a film and speaker in the auditorium. My session ended at lunch time. I found it funny that right after the session I saw a group of about 6-7 Asians and a small group of Asian Indians going to lunch in their own cliques.

People want to gravitate towards those they are familiar with.

I think your anecdote represents “prejudice” rather than “racist”. I agree “every person is prejudice to some degree”

I agree with you…..prejudice is a much better word to describe what I was saying. I was trying to think of a word to use rather than “racist” but for some reason “prejudice” didn’t come to my mind last night. I appreciate the correction sir.
