Way too early.

We'll also see some recruits/commits surface later that we don't know anything about, right now. Guys like McDaniel.

Man, don't we all wish we had a crystal ball! It's fun to speculate, but I just don't have a clue... one thing I'm hoping doesn't happen however, is a repeat of the de-commit, re-commit roller coaster we had with the most recent class. I don't know if my ticker can take that again!

Gotta admit, it turned out pretty darn well though.

I believe its too early to predict anything. I know for a fact that Kelly is recruiting speed though. The one thing I think about though is that Kelly has always been successful with players no matter where he is. I know here at Notre Dame he has to be licking his chops to recruit and I feel that he did a hell of a job last year getting the players that he and the staff wanted. I trust Kelly very much and believe that he will make us a 9+ win team from here on out. I believe in who ever he recruits to play here, I will never question a player that he gives a scholarship. I believe that he knows what he is doing. He might be feeling it out, with a more extensive recruiting database than he has ever had, but I believe he's making the right choices. I'm excited to have him as a coach and I do believe we will win a national title under coach Kelly. More than 1...

This is a well-thought-out list. Love our chances with Davis and Odenigbo at OLB, and also think we have a chance at Spence, who may be an OLB in our system. What are your reasons for optimism with Mathers and B. Marshall at RB?

QB: None. We end up passing in this cycle. Mauk goes to Michigan and Kiel goes to Oklahoma.
RB: Keith Marshall (if Cierre has the year I'm expecting... I think it comes down to a battle between us and Georgia and we win it), David Perkins (gets an offer as an ATH focused on being the bruiser back)
WR: Ferguson, Greenberry, Darboh, Treggs
OL: Decker, Daly, Destefano, Harrel, Denman
DT: Schutt
DE: None
OLB: Noor Davis, Ifeadi Odenigbo
CB: Tee Shepard, Ronald Darby, Yuri Wright
S: Nicky Barratti

Don't know who's coming here....But we're a top 3 class next year. Kelly is gonna kill it on skill guys this year.

Book it.

Fun facts...

Yuri Wright and Armani Reeves are both rated higher than Tee/Ronald on 247. Yuri is actually the #12 overall players in their rankings... #1 CB, 98 overall and one of 21 5* players.

It might really be a struggle to get another elite guy on board with all of the talent already signed up in this class... do any of these guys have flexibility at safety?

just from what i see on film i think wright could be a safety, although the coaches like those big corner guys i think he could fit in nicely on the backend.

If anything/anyone Tee would be the one to make the transition to safety with his size/strength. If Tee is Ok with that they can group together to persaude another elite DB to join and make up the best secondary class this year......best D-line class last year...best DB class this year....it's good to be talking positive on the defensive side for a change.

i've read reports that say tee needs to get more physical, which leads me to believe that he is a true corner...some scouts were questioning his tackling ability as well.

Tennessee guys seem to think Mathers is favoring ND. Byron Marshall has had some pretty favorable interviews on 247 and Rivals.

It's going to be hard to snag Keith Marshall. He was high on ND before he got his 5 star, #1 RB in the 2012 class designation. SEC is all over him. Hopefully Darby can sway him, but this will be a battle. His trip for the USC game is "not set in stone," so we'll see how it goes.

Tee is one of the highest rated corners on both 247 and Scout. I'm confident he'll be a top 10 corner on Rivals as well. He's a stud. With the way out team improved their tackling this past season especially at the corner position, I think he and Darby will be perfect bookends for this class.

agreed, which is why i think we can start focusing on bringing in a safety type guy to finish things off and i think wright is capable.

I'm pretty sure that Mathers camped at ND last summer. That's not necessarily an expression of interest on his part, but it can't hurt that he's been to ND and seen the campus.

NT: Sheldon Day

Pretty sure that DeStefano does not have a committable offer.

Interesting re: Mathers. I just saw an article on 247 from a few days ago saying he was focused on SEC and ACC schools (though hadn't eliminated the others). I tend to feel a little better about KeiVarae Russell from Washington than Mathers or B. Marshall, but he might end up being a slot WR more than an RB.

Okay. For now he doesn't have one but I meant to put Harrell on there anyways. You can Add
S: Reggie Daniels
He was quoted as saying that ND was one of 3 schools recruiting him the hardest.

I can't see ND getting Kimbrow. A RB out of TN just seems like they always go to an SEC school. We have a better chance at getting a kid out of alabama or georgia.

Andrus Peat seems to be wide open and pretty interested in ND. I wouldn't count him out. I will say there is no way in hell we get
Travis Blanks, Nelson Agholor, Tyriq McCord or Deon Bush.

I highly doubt we get Marshall, DGB, Spence, Schutt, and Odenigbo.

I wish we could get Blanks, McCord and marshall but they don't seem too interested.
